Bodycote

Due to changes in our product line we were in a sudden need of sourcing a partner to help us with metal surface treatments. Having done most of our work in house in the past we were a bit hesitant to look to outside vendors, but Bodycote was able to put our worries to rest and deliver quality results. They weren't the cheapest company to work with, but after looking at their facilities, and following up on references we decided to go with them and the results speak for themselves. As a plus their customer service department is always willing to take the time and address any concerns. Very happy with our relationship with Bodycote.

Body cote is the vendor we used in our company for heat treating services to our devices. They are specialized and has quality for works that can provide long term applicability to our devices. They are reliable, efficient and effective for the works they done. Their services are great and the only issues are the turn around times and expensive services that I hope they can change through some time. Hope the management read this one. Overall I can say that they still did good job and great services to their customers.

Needs to improve: Too costly process

Our firm contracted with Bodycote to help us with our metal surface treatments and were pleased with the results. Their sales team was able to provide accurate quotes and the lead times were solid. Since our experience with Bodycote I have found some cheaper places but am not sure how the quality of service would compare. Customer service is easy to reach and happy to answer any of our questions. Our firm may check out some different vendors as their pricing is a little less, but we were definitely pleased with the results from Bodycote!

We want our products to last a long time. We want to be able to give a long warranty on them. We can give lifetime warranties on the labor because we stand by our labor and assembly, however we were so sure yet about our components. That was until we found out about bodycote and started working with them. The put all our component parts through heat treatment. Making our components stronger and as a whole our product more dependable. We can now stand by our components and give them a warranty.

Our company experience exceptional service to this vendor! We use them for special projects in which we don't get any issues to them! They are reliable to their job for metal to metal bonding that we really like very much. Their services has fast turnaround times and price are reasonable. Our firm contracted Bodycote to help us with our surface treatments requirements for heat treatment on stainless steel. They were able to address all our requirements for heat treatment & surface requirements for our bits required for knee surgery. Their sales and engineering staff was able to provide accurate quotes, detailed procedures, delivery requirements and keep us abreast of the parts going through their procedure. A great bunch of folks to work with for product development.

We have used Bodycote for a few projects in our warehouse where we had to re-treat metal surfaces on our assembly line machinery. Their work was excellent and they were able to complete a very detail oriented job in an expeditious manner, without cutting corners. Additionally, their staff was tremendously helpful and knowledgeable about any of our questions or concerns. I highly recommend this group and will use them again in the future.

The company I work for has used Bodycote several different times for special projects. They do excellent metal to metal bonding. There customer service has always been excellent and they are very helpful the whole process through from start to finish. They offer competitive pricing and turn around time is quick. I always use Bodycote for all my anodizing and surface treatment needs. They provide excellent quality and fast turn around. We have also used them for induction brazing and electron beam welding operations. Their work is always very clean consistent.

Our business has been ordering from Bodycote for years now. They are world wide and will send to anywhere, which helps us a lot in production. Our company has input many custom orders that never gave us trouble for shipping. Would love to do business again, and will continue too.

We contracted Bodycote for heat treating services. Their customer service reps were pleasant and easy to communicate with. Their staff was knowledgeable and offered their insight when possible. Order placement was quick, accurate quotes but there was a slight delay in lead time. Understandable but always disappointing from a client's side. Will reach out to again but will have backups.

I've worked with Bodycote in the past for metal to metal bonding. They uses processes such as electron beam welding, vacuum, and honeycomb brazing. I've never had an issue working with their staff. They have always bent over backwards to get the job done.

I was looking for a way to surface harden 304 stainless without distorting part dimensions or corrosion resistance. They had a very useful Kolsterising process that gave me the surface hardness I needed without sacrificing corrosion resistance.

Strengths: Have many heat and surface treatment options.

Needs to improve: I didn't find any weaknesses in their services.

We use this vendor to assist in the completion of a medical device we heat treat at the end of the manufacturing process to assure long life for form and functionality. This is a reliable service for us.
