Strengths: Durametric is a proprietary manufacturer for computer software and communications cables for Porsche vehicle maintenance and testing. They manufacture a communications cable which plugs into the OBDII port and allows diagnosis, testing and coding of the vehicle's DME. Their product is much more economical then the Porsche PWISS tester. Where a PWISS tester is over $15,000 in initial investment and a $12,000 annual subscription, we are all into our Durametric tester for under $2,000. What's even better is that Durametric provides free software and updates. The sofware allows for DME coding, fault diagnosis and changes to component settings and airbag warning light management. Great company.
