Their Customer Service Engineers are professionals with hands-on experience in extrusion. They helped us analyze what we needed and recommended a solution that satisfied our needs. The engineers examined the shape we needed to extrude,taking into account its diameter,thickness, materials of construction, and other variables. And they provided us with a drawing of our extrusion head and tooling in CAD.

Strengths: GENCA has developed many of our existing extrusion tools and systems. GENCA is in the process of development for our new extrusion tool. They are committed to quality, service and cost. They have the latest in state-of-the-art in-line extrusion die technology. There engineers are skilled and knowledgeable people. They are reliable and helped us develop a cost-effective solution for our process.

Needs to improve: I have nothing bad to say about Genca my experience with them has been pleasurable.

Genca is mainstay for Extrusion Cross heads in the Medical Device industry. Their B-1 Low Volume head is used by many medical device companies for small diameter tubing. I've used their heads at 4 companies. Their quality is middle of the road. If the tolerances were slightly tighter, you would be able to keep long extrusion runs from drifting as much. B&H and Gill are alternatives.

You can purchase their tips and dies of find a local machine shop to make them for you.

I've used their cross-heads and associated Tips and Dies for extrusion of Medical Tubing at a number of companies. Quality is middle of the road. Tolerances could be tighter when you want to really control wall thicknesses. Overall a decent cross-head.

We purchase connectors for guidewire and Catheter MFG kits. As well as for R&D use for new product development. These connectors are high quality medical device standards are met.
