When I worked at a sports equipment store, we once purchased tools from Lowes to always have on hand. While we found the tools we were looking for, the employees at Lowes really had no clue what they were doing. They could barely show us where the drills were, as they really lacked in customer service. Because of this, we had to find the tools buy ourselves. They also have rather high prices, I would recommend going somewhere else to find the supplies you are looking for.

Strengths: Lowes has a large supply of many products such as tools or similar items.

Needs to improve: -Price -Customer Service -In-house expertise

not a bad resource to go if you are in a bind for some components you may not have on-hand for some testing, etc. i would probably prefer to go to home depot if i'm in this type of bind and limited on time and have to go to a place like lowes or home depot.

There have been multiple occasions we turned to Lowe's to provide hardware and tools needed for custom builds or in house needs. The products and prices are good and they have a wide selection. No corporate account system to speak of other than a business credit card, therefore all interfacing with PO system needed to be done manually, which we were not a fan of. Otherwise, good source for hardware and tools, but regular non construction companies don't expect anything special other than what you're already familiar with.

Lowes has it all and we often source our components and tool requests from the local hardwore store. It's extremely convenient to simply pull up and out with everything that we need. Pricing is less flexible from a supplier but we get our hands on the materials asap. Customer service is great as everyone is always willing to help with a smile. If you're close to a location, great place to source materials.

I prefer Lowes to Home Depot, although it may just be for aesthetic and layout reasons. They do have a robust selection of shelving solutions, and area where I find Home Depot to be lacking. Off the top of my head, they carry around 5-7 different brands of complete track and wall hanging shelving solutions, allowing for virtually any type of customization for your workspace.

When we moved into a new building we used Lowe's along with the other Big Box hardware store to buy hardware and tools to help finish the building. Some molding, paper towels, hand tools, etc... They are good to have around but they lack the 'mom and pop hardware' store feel.

I've bought and returned many items which i thought would work but didn't end up working. They also have light bulb recycle centers which is pretty cool

Strengths: They have a novice friendly feel for newbie DIYers. Their staff is great at answering you questions and helping you on your projects.

Needs to improve: Their pricing can be a bit higher, but they have a good return policy

We have needed to go there a few times. We needed hand and power tools and was able to go to lowes and get what we needed.

Strengths: They are a very good store they have everything that you need. A wide variety of products and services that are very helpful.

just like home depot, carries many general hardware items as well as home items. a good place to go if you need something now. but can be more expensive than if you find a specialty store where things can be cheaper and wider selection.

Had a great experience with Lowes the were very knowledgeable and we didn't have to wait for the large order. Customer is very good and that is very important in this kind of store.

Lowes employees were very helpful in helping me pick out shelves for my company's office space. They gave me great ideas on what else to add to my office space.

Wide range of products to choose from.

Strengths: Lowes have wide range of products depending on what you need. We purchase our supplies here for our small business. Truly its great to be on a one stop shop but customer service is not really that impresive.

Bought tool boxes for the machine shop from LOWES and was amazed by the quality of their products and different selections, price is competitive and quality is top notch

I can get what I need and get out fast. Great for quick stops and they always have what I need.
