OSH is really convenient and does not have the difficulty of big box hardwarer/home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowes. If you know what you are looking for, they can meet you needs pretty well. You are paying full retail with limited discounts. Good business accounts with spending limits. Customer service can be spotty, depending on which store you are using.

Strengths: Local stores with relatively large number of locations. Relatively good selection of electrical parts we use for our construction business. Account management and access for non cash purchases by employees so they charge directly to our account and we don't have to reimburse them. Wide range of tools as well, so our guys can pick up tools needed for the job. Wire and wire products for electrical wiring as well. Large purchases are loaded by staff into the back of your truck.

Needs to improve: Full retail pricing. Stores are not that well organized and posted prices sometimes don't match what you pay for. The employees can be hit or miss. Some don't know anything, while others are former industry workers. Website is terrible for online ordering.

You can get what you need.

Strengths: Good local store with generally everything you need for hardware related office supplies. A good one stop location, from cleaning supplies to nails to plant food. More locations then big box retailers.

Needs to improve: They used to have great customer service, but that has slipped now that Sears corp owns them. Some employees are terrible now. They are more expensive then other stores.

If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood hardware store, OSH is where its at. Even tho they are large, they have a feel of an old school hardware store on mainstreet. Dependable and always has stock of common items.

Strengths: multiple locations, friendlier feel/vibe, good sales and prices

Needs to improve: only has typical items does not have some of the more odd/specialty pieces of hardware

We have a nearby location by our work and we use it whenever we need office material for the office or for the manufacturing/assembly line. Never fails.

Strengths: Cozy neighborhood store with great friendly staff and good customer service. Knowledgeable staff. Offers a good variety of electric, tools, etc...

Needs to improve: A little bit more expensive than the bigger guys

No matter what i need for home garden and home improvements, orchard is the right place. And for office needs, we also get what we need at orchard what we need for materials we need for manufacturing and assembly line
