I used Pulse once for some laser cutting. My experience was not that great. We supplied the parts to be laser cut. Pulse over promised on their completion date. We received the parts a few weeks after what was promised; did I mention that we supplied the parts? The parts were eventually delivered but upon further review, the parts could have been done better.

Look elsewhere for better pricing and quality of work.

Pulse Systems specialty is on laser cutting and welding. In my experience with them, I had them quote a prototype run where I needed laser cutting on stainless steel tubes. Compared to other laser cutting vendors, I found their quote to be high and their lead time longer. I've also used them for swiss screw machining for a production component - The piece part price was reasonable but they were not always on time with the delivery dates.

It would be nice to have some local competition to NDC. Unfortunately Pulse Systems isn't too formidable a competitor to NDC. When they can make your parts the quality is decent. Too often they've have not come through on their promises. They claim to have brought in Electropolishing capabilities but the quality of the electropolished parts did not match competitors. This leaves them just a laser cutter with variable delivery times and high prices.

I have used Pulse System's laser cut components. They do have good capabilities with laser cutting, but a big drawback was their lack of reliable shipments and high prices. They did supply components with their swiss screw machines as well, but were not as capable as competitors in providing consistent parts. Customer service could also be quicker and more helpful resolving issues with components.

We had our stent based devices laser cut by Pulse. They do decent work but the late delivery far out shadows the quality of work. Customer service over promises on delivery so we had to constantly contact them for status updates. Very frustrating at times when you need to keep your project on track.

We currently have been using Pulse Systems for our die cutting needs. Were currently on a time line to release three new medical devices to the medical industry world and Pulse has been instrumental in helping us achieve that goal. They can be a little expensive depending on what you need but manageable. They do an excellent job and and are always perfect.

Strengths: They are an excellent source for laser die cutting.

I used them laser cut some NiTi parts for me when I was doing some work in the Bay Area. The parts parts were cut to spec and the prices were reasonable but the parts weren't ready on time. 3 days late. 3 days is a big deal when those parts are holding up a build.

Received decent parts from them, though 3 weeks late. I don't know if they have fully developed their electropolishing process. The last time I tried them they took a 1.5m piece of Vasco Nitinol Tubing from me to make some electropolished samples that never happened after 6 months.

We use this vendor fairly often for laster cutting medcal metal micro tubing and other services for machining. This is a reliable vendor with a consistently dependable service. The prices are fair and the customer service department is good.

Reliable for laser cutting for stents, and other implant medical devices. These are micro so the precision we get from this vendor is excellent and reliable. The product component deliveries are very reliable and dependable.

I have used Pulse a couple of times over the last few years. The parts have been generally good. Not Great but good. My bigger issue has been delivery, which is variable.

We used Pulse for laser cutting small parts. they did a good job but did not meet the promised delivery date. Staff was very professional and made up for their error during the next run.

We use there services for laser cutting materials for our medical devices. They worked great at getting exact measurments and precise cuttings. Will use them again in the future.

Ordered lasercut Nitinol stents from them. Normally delivered 1 week out from stated delivery date.
