US Foodservice

I worked for a coffee shop that used US Foodservice as a vendor. The quality of the product was great. They have a small selection for baked goods, so we used another local vendor, but the bulk items from US Foodservice were always fresh. The drivers were always patient with our staff during busy times and didn't mind dropping our delivery near the coolers…. all the way down the hall.

Strengths: On time delivery with quality products.

Needs to improve: Variety of baked goods.

After the recent takeover of a previous company I purchased from, I started using us foods for a large portion of our bakery ingredients. Because of their recent transition sometimes getting certain products has taken too long

Strengths: Large nationwide company has more access to a wider supply of ingredients

Needs to improve: Pricing quotes and estimated delivery times are not always accurate

Offered similar items/quality as Sysco while beating prices often and lesser minimum items for delivery.
Friendly sales and delivery people

Strengths: Quality products, flexible delivery, competitive pricing

Needs to improve: They recently were bought by Sysco. Very disappointing and bad for overall competitive pricing

Was a great competitor to Sysco. I have used them since they were Rykof Sexton and always prefer their products and service to their competitors

My business recently started purchasing a portion of our ingredients through US Foods.

Strengths: National company which can get good pricing on ingredients

Needs to improve: Their bakery section is limited for the moment

They always had quality products. Bakery selection was limited, but everything else was great

Strengths: Quality products, on-time delivery, good pricing

Needs to improve: Interesting to see what happens since Sysco bought them
