HSC (aka Halted) has been a bay area fixture for many hears. I have sources things like odd connectors, fans, motors, etc from their bins. Great for R&D projects and emergency equipment backups. Also have purchased used and certified oscilloscopes from them. Online store is a plus!
Strengths: Wide selection of new, used, and surplus electronic components and equipment
Needs to improve: Limited to stock on hand generally, but the do have an on-line store
I'm big on customer service and quality and this company had both so doing business with them was excellent ,no complaints at all.
