We use a Nikon measurement system in our receiving inspection and manufacturing engineering labs. The systems which are equipped with auto edge detection are extremely precise and with the accompanying software have a very wide range of capabilities. With the optional Hi Def camera system, we can capture very clear images which is very convenient for sharing defects with suppliers.

Strengths: Nilon produces very high precision optical measurement systems with powerful user friendly software. The measurement systems are capable of precisely measuring the most difficult design features. The systems are equipped with special features like automated edge detection.

Needs to improve: Very expensive and requires a lot of training to use the system effectively. Can only be calibrated by Nikon

We use Nikon Metrology in our R&D Engineering, Manufacturing, Service department for our testing, incoming inspection, calibration process, evaluation on our medical equipment. Their microscopes can handle any job, they are very reliable and dependable. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with their maintenance of the equipment, it takes a lot of time, have to send back east, their cost is high. Their technical support could be better, with regards to operation and adjustment for the microscope.

We use nikon microscopes for quality inspection. Nikon makes excellent quality microscopes that are easy to use and provides excellent image quality. They are an industry leader when it comes to optics. All of our Nikon microscopes are hooked up to computers and their bundled software makes it very easy to record measurements and to store them for future use. I have only good things to say about Nikon scopes. If i had to be nit picky i'd say that they are pricey but really what do you expect from a brand such as Nikon!

I've always been extremely satisfied with Nikon's measuring and video systems. They are built to last and are a great addition to your R&D Lab.

Needs to improve: Nikon carries a certain reputation, and with that reputation you pay a premium. Not that they're over hyped, per say but you pay for that Nikon reputation in many ways.

We have been using Metrology test instruments to calibrate our equipment and tools that we use on our assembly line. We are a medical device manufacturing company that relies on our equipment to be spot on and Nikon helps us achieve that quality. Highly recommended!!

I have purchased an number of nikon microscopes and related video and lighting equipment. While their equipment is of great quality, I have been very disappointed with their customer service. The local sales rep if very difficult to get ahold of not not very responsive.

We got a used video measurement system. They are accurate and easy to operate. We love them. It was used so not quite expensive as a new one. We called for customer support and we got all the help we needed from them

Have user their high magnification video measurement systems for micro parts. They are easy to use and have clear optics. The measurement tools included in the software are very useful.

My business has used some of their laser scanning and inspection equipment. This company makes cutting edge products that are very precise. Their technology aids us in QC and improves the overall reliability of our products.

nikon inspection systems are incredibly functional and can aid in your inspection needs. systems are a bit pricey but worth it for the productivity
