RockAuto Part

We maintain a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. In order to keep our spare parts inventory as complete as possible we have looked at local and internet based suppliers. We have started to use RockAuto as one of our go to suppliers. They have the largest range of parts available and their prices are very competitive. We purchase large volumes and they have been able to keep up with our demand. We do find that their cumulative shipping costs can be a hurdle and make total cost more then what we would like to pay. They are a decent back up supplier

Strengths: Great website with a super comprehensive range of products. Well organized site and easy to navigate. Actual picture representation of part, not a generic photo. More then one suppler and part. You can always find what you are looking for. Competitive base prices.

Needs to improve: If you are ordering more then one part, shipping can add up due to a plethora of shipping sites. Does not consolidate shipping and give a single ship price, which can add up to being more expensive then buying local.

Rock Auto is a replacement parts supplier we use to keep our fleet of vehicles on the road. We use them to keep us stocked with consumable parts, such as filters, lamps, fluids, brakes and other items we replace on a regular basis. We have found them to be as competitive if not more competitive then local discount auto suppliers. Since we are using them as a consumable's supplier, we can usually forecast need and not be hindered by delivery times.

Strengths: Widest range of internet based autoparts around. Multiple brands and price levels. Easy to navigate website which is also an amazing reference. Virtually every make and manufacturer represented. Actual photos of parts. Great prices. Variety of shipping options.

Needs to improve: Website is so huge, if you have a slow connection, finding the right part can be tedious.

RockAuto Part is a great supplier for your auto parts. There pricing is good and there selection is large. I've used them before and I check there website for my parts need. I highly recommend you consider them for your next parts purchase.

I mainly use rock auto for my personal vehicles but I have recently used them to buy some parts for a small vehicle/crawler that we are building. Great selection from many manufacturers, not factory spec'd parts but still good quality parts for a great price.
