I used the Flexiforce and Elf system to measure so pressures on a cadaveric specimen during biomechanical testing a few years ago. It was a very unique application and we were only able to find Tekscan which would give us realtime data during the testing. The entire system itself can get on the expensive side once you factor in the sensor, the reading equipment and the software. I would recommend getting the high speed system even if you don't think you will need it.

The sensors themselves being very flexible is both a blessing and a curse. Very thin and able to get in locations others would not, but also, hard to get in to some places because you do not have the rigidity to push it in. Also they got pinched a few times and would give false spikes in pressure. I'm sure there are ways around this and we did figure out how to place them where we wanted.

The software was adequate for the product. Nothing too fancy but not sure you need anything more.

The sales person and their support team were great. I was in their area and they gave me a tour of their facilities prior to purchasing the equipment. If the specifications fit your needs. I would talk with them.

Strengths: Very unique product which allows you to measure realtime pressure in areas that would be hard to measure. They are able to replace pressure sensitive paper for many application.

Needs to improve: A bit expensive to get going. Sometime the readings didn't seen to be "right" Can be a bit tricky to set up optimized
