Strengths: They typically offer the best prices of most of the rental car companies.
Needs to improve: A couple times I have rented from Alamo I have selected a car online only to find out that the car I selected for was not available at pick up and that they would "upgrade" me to a car that is in a different category. If I rent a corolla for the specific reason for ease of use and gas mileage, its not considered an upgrade to get a big gas guzzling ford taurus.
