We use Alicat equipment in the medical/pharmaceutical industry. we use their bidirectional mass flow controller in their MCD series. it has helped us to streamline our process and reduce downtime. the MCD series flow in both directions and also measures absolute pressures and temperatures. it is able to control absolute pressure in a flowing process or in a closed volume with automatic venting. their products work well with the rest of our equipment and their technical support is great. their technicians work remotely in resolving client issues and so far, we have not had any issues that they have not been able to resolve remotely.

My start up uses Alicat equipment for our medical device development. We utilize their bidirectional mass flow controller in their MCD series to effectively streamline our production procedures. The MCD series is able to regulate absolute pressure in a flow process or in a closed volume with sensor based automatic venting, ideal for our prototype. Their customer service tech support is top notch. Their technicians work remotely in resolving client issues and thus far, we have not had any problems that they have not been able to quickly resolve. Will continue to use them.

Alicat gauges and controllers have been very useful in optimizing the design of peristaltic pumps and tubing sets. Communication capabilities allow for real time data streaming and analysis.

Strengths: Mass flow meters, mass flow controllers, and pressure sensing

Needs to improve: Occasional performance issues when gauges are used for prolonged periods of time with saline. Not too unexpected as saline is harsh on most materials. Can be minimized by ensuring gauges are flushed with DI water after use.
