our company uses bioxpert, the software system produced by applikon. we use the software as a tool to control our bio processes and to store process data. the interface is very user friendly and the structure is logical. The software is easy to operate and has extensive functionality for monitoring, collecting and storing data and controlling processes. the newest version that was recently updated allows user to system in compliance with FDA guidelines. our engineers and staff members like the option to allow remote access with the software as well. great program - highly recommend

I have been using Applikon bioreactors for over 6 years, and I have been impressed by the evolution of the products. The 1010 and 1030 units tended to break often and were hard to use. I now use the EZ-controllers and those are much more reliable and easier to use. As far as support, the service techs are very knowledgeable but there aren't that many of them so sometimes it's hard to get quick service.

Strengths: Robust products with constant improvements to software and firmware.

Needs to improve: Customer support is a bit slow sometimes.

Applikon is a company I enjoy working with mainly because they listen to their customers. A few years ago, we were having quality issues with the bioreactors and actually stopped purchasing from them. When they followed up with us to inquire why we stopped purchasing, we told them that we had issues and (surprisingly!) they actually took our feedback into consideration and have since evolved some of their lines. They continued to be understaffed though, so customer support is lacking.

We have used Applikon over the years for hard to find chemical components for a few of the products we roll out. I like how they are very easy to deal with and always are very prompt in providing quotes or answering inquiries. They are one of the top rated chemical and chemical service vendors out there. I would go to nobody else but them. I highly recommend this group.

Strengths: Very smart and knowledgeable staff, friendly service, fast turnaround.
