ASCO Numatics

Years ago, the company I worked for had chosen the local Numatics distributor as a "preferred vendor" for air valves, fittings, regulators, ect. This distributor sold Numatics products exclusively. The results were less than favorable. The build quality of these items were inferior to just about every other company by comparison. The threads on the air cylinders had metal shavings hanging from the threads, regulators were regularly shipped that were defective (leaky handles), most of the push on fittings were larger in size than their counterparts. Just about everything we recieved from these folks had one issue or another.

In the end, the local vendor signed on to distribute SMC components as well and it all went away. Looks like Numatics merged with Asco arond 4 years ago. Hopefully their build quality has improved since then.

Needs to improve: Build quality is sub standard in some cases.

We have purchased both electrical components for our heaters and valves from ASCO Numatics in the past. I would have to say that our experience on electrical components was mediocre as their pricing was competitive, but the quality and durability of the products were mid-range considering these guys are supposed to be high end vendors. However, their valves are solid and we will continue to purchase valves from them only.

We use Asco for packaging equipment, they supply us the right high quality product for our specific operation needs. They have the best product that really work well. Our orders are packed well and shipping is always on time. Pricing is competitive but you can guarantee that the components you order from them will last long. Customer service help us decide what we need before ordering a large quantity.
