Our company has used AVX Corporation components on our motherboards, back-panels and interconnects in our telecommunication equipment. They have a wide selection of components: edge-connectors; sockets, board to board, capacitors, circuit protection, couplers, filters, inductors, passive components, resistive products, etc... Their website is extensive with locating and ordering products, as well as supplying a tab for Technical Articles: covering circuit protection & EMI filtering thru RF microwave and a great section on "What's New." Their website supplies information: representative/distributor locator, literature request, stock check, sample request, etc...

Needs to improve: Their website is great, but can be a bit overwhelming. Sometime hard to get in touch with a real person, but if you know/familiar with the products their website is great...

A good company to do business with, the staff is very helpful, and knowledgable, and is always available for any assistance we might need from them about their products. Over all a great company, with quality products, accurate quotes,fast deliveries, and great customer service!

Strengths: We contract with this vendor for our capacitors and connectors that we use for our dialysis machines. These materials are good quality, they're reliable durable, and compatible with our devices, it was a good choice doing business with this company, they've always come thru, delivering our orders on time, at reasonable prices with quick turnarounds.

Cheap pricing - Quality is good

Strengths: I have order a number electronic components and assembly parts from AVX Corp..Though they have a wide selection of electronic components but it's all about timing with this company. You may find what you need but it may not be in stock. Therefore it's a hit and miss for me with this company. Pricing can be incredibiliy good depending on what you are looking for and if they have it in stock. Quotes are accurate and delivery is ok.

Strengths: My company purchases a lot of capacitors from AVX corporation. We primarily use them for our ceramic capacitor supplier. They have a large selection of ceramics that meet military and space requirements.

I've bought a good deal of tantalum capacitors through AVX over the years. They have been a dependable supplier and helped me work through issues we were having very closely.
