We produce medical tubing, high-performance communication cables, and other important extruded products. Producing any medical tubing product with an “out-of-tolerance” diameter or roundness, often down to ten-thousandths of an inch, affects the performance of life-critical devices such as catheters, drug delivery and surgical tubing, and other medical devices.To ensure we meet the design and quality of our product we use four axis and ovality measurement in the production department to measure its diameter and ovality.

We have a couple of lagermike form Beta. We like it alot. It is a must have for medical device companies. It help us to get accurate data. We use it a lot to get a OD measurement for a fragile micro small parts, since lasermike is non contact measurement system, it prevent from damaging parts and get an accurate data.
Strengths: Good measurement and accurate tools. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable customer service.
Needs to improve: Price. Replacement parts can be pricy
Beta Lasermike offer rapid, precise, and repeatable Diameter measurements. It is easy to operate and customer support came in to set up and educate for the first time. We love it although it is expensive, worth to have one of them in lab to speed things up.

Needs to improve: Expensive
We currently use Beta LaserMike’s laser scanning diameter gauges and control systems in our R&D lab. These machines enable us to perform rapid, precise, and repeatable measurements to exacting dimensional tolerances. These gauges are essential to any lab that designs and manufactures it's own machines.
Strengths: Measurement equipment and tools .
Needs to improve: They are not cheap, very pricy equipment.

Used their capacitance sensors for ampoule checking in an automated system. Also used an ultrasonic sensor for internal depth inspection of a ultrasonically welded plastic capillary. Great products.
Strengths: Good selection of products for capacitance testing and ultrasonic thickness measurement.
Needs to improve: Can be expensive
We have two of their lasermikes for our extrusion lines. Accurate and durable. They allow us to get accurate diameter measurements with lines speeds of 200ft/min. They also have nice SPC capabilities.
