Heated Grips from Big Bike Parts, Show Chrome Inferno Grips- Do not leave in the rain
Ok, I do not often write reviews but I am prompted in the case of this product because of what the description doesn't tell. The grips will fit OK and they will connect up and give you up to five settings of heat and for a while it all works really well.
Until it rains, what Big Bike Parts don't tell is the fantastic Show Chrome eze controller is not water proof or even water resistant. One quick shower of rain was all it took to build up moisture on the inside of the controller. If you turn it on it will fry the controller. This controller is common on most of the heated grip range from Show Chrome.
What is worse is that Big Bike Parts will tell you its not intended to be waterproof and that it works as intended. Yes, that is until it gets wet. Guess what! motorbikes work in the rain.
They promote versions of these for snow mobiles and ATV's.
These units are simply not fit for purpose if you live in a climate where it will rain.
Show Chrome will not take responsibility except to say it works as intended - what rubbish. Twice bitten - Never again.
