Del-Tron Precision, Inc.

I've used Del-Tron linear slides and ball slides for many different testing fixtures. They are the slide stages I would recommend when you want to control a motion to a fixed path but do not want to add friction to the process. The slides have continued to work over repetitive use, sometimes under high loads.

Another nice feature is that they had all of the solid models for their products that I used on their website. This made it much simpler when I was designing the fixtures to make sure that they fit and that I put the mounting holes at the correct locations.

When we are throwing out fixtures, one of the items I always try to salvage are the slide stages. I know they are still good and have lots of life left in them. Always good to have a few laying around for those quick projects.

Also make sure you pay attention to the loads each product can withstand. If was caught up on the dimensions of the slide stage onetime that I overlooked the loading and ended up ordering an unusable product. They have so many options, you are sure to find one that meets your needs. Also because of the large amount of options, even though they have a pretty decent website for ordering, I recommend giving them a call to help you find the best part that for what you are trying to do. This might give you some options you weren't considering.

We have contracted with del-tron for years and for many reasons. We have been looking for a great company that can provide us with slide guides that are built high quality, and fair pricing that would still have our profits. Their sales rep knows what they are talking about and know what to do, they even give us advice on what types of products would work for us. They also will do custom work upon request. Will recommend to any business in the market!

Strengths: great website, very easy to navigate and order from. Their customer service is always helpful and they actually know what they are talking about, unlike other companies that sells slides and rollers.

Needs to improve: none at the moment

We have purchased a few of their high precision positioning systems for our microscope stations for mfg of micro coils. The positioning is precise, which allows for precise welding of micro coils to the end of delivery guidewires.

Needs to improve: The product is expensive for the performance

Have had great success for ball and roller bearing slides from Del-tron. they are inexpensive and great quality. Used them for both in-house tooling, and for adjustable mirrors in laser assemblies.

Strengths: Low priced, high and low precision slides.
