Forecast 3D

We requested an initial quote from Forecast for a medical prototyping project with one using their Steralloy line resin and the other using their DSM 11122 watershed. These were 2 distinct projects that did not overlay each other and we needed different technologies for the creation that Forecast was able to offer. They were able to run the project on both a small frame and large frame machine to fortify the exact details we needed in our prototype. Their technology is beyond some of the typical companies that offer rapid prototyping where a model is made to resemble the final item. Their technology allows for real-life simulation as well as feel, texture, and weight of the final project. We our team did notice was that there was a delay in their internal communication among their team members that caused a delay in one of our projects. While the delay did not alter our internal deadline, that would be a component they need to improve on. a streamlined communication and workflow within a company does ease the mind of their client and helps to maintain our deadline and workflow

Strengths: Steralloy line technology, rapid medical prototyping, accurate initial quote that was not much different than our final payment, unique FDA classifications, high resolution

Needs to improve: there was a slight delay in our turnaround time but this was a last minute change delay, communication between their team members can use some improvement and streamlining

We used Forecast 3D on a recommendation from another purchasing associate. They were quick to supply us with RFQs, as our current supplier was giving us some issues. We decided to have them make a few different parts using a silicone mold process. The first batch we received was about a week late. After running through our QC process we found the parts were out of spec. Forecast 3D was extremely responsive and remade the parts for us right away. Their turn-around time was great. The parts went through our QC process again and we had no issues. Due to our time-lines we have not had a chance to use them again, but look forward to giving them another shot in the future...

Needs to improve: We only used them a couple of times, so I am not sure of all their capabilities. They were quick on RFQs, but are a bit lacking when it comes to informing the customer of delay's and issues.

There was a brief time that we looked into furniture. We went with Forecast for some prototype chairs. We wanted to do a modern sturdy office chair. Speaking with their sales rep, we were able to move forward quickly. They helped us right away and effectively. Forecast has a Procast system that's amazing. They build large prototypes with the greatest quality. We ultimately did not go into the furniture business, but we still have a few of the chairs around. Great quality build, durable materials.

My company sources Forecast 3D for 3d printing of our consumer products. We were able to get very accurate price quote and a quick lead time which was very appreciated due to our tight manufacturing timelines. Forecast has also been a big partner in ideation of new and inventive way to accelerate our business. Their team is highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend giving Forecast 3d a try for all your 3d needs. They will not disappoint.

Our firm contracted with Forecast 3D to get some 3d printing of our medical devices. We were able to get very accurate price quote and a quick lead time which was very appreciated due to our tight manufacturing timelines. Forecast 3D was able to get the job done and it came out under budget as well. Their service and quality were fantastic and we will definitely continue partnering with them in the future!

Great service, and people who work there are extremely responsive. The parts are high quality. However, the turnaround time (unexpedited) can take awhile unless you call and explicitly ask for a way to turnaround immediately. This isn't too big a deal if you expect and plan for it.

Needs to improve: Takes sometimes up to 3 days to get parts unless you call ahead and schedule for the faster turnaround.

We went into 3d printing with very little knowledge, their staff was extremely helpful in ensuring that we got the right product at the right price. We actually made a mistake and they righted our wrong, unheard of these days. Hands-on ownership, a true pleasure.
