Gemstar then known by Gemini Inc., began producing custom plastic parts such as instrument housings, belt guards and machine enclosures. Utilizing vacuum forming, pressure forming, rotational molding and custom fabrication.

1972

VersaPro® cases debuted. The transit cases were designed for the transportation and containment of delicate components and precision instruments. The cases provided such superior protection that one was selected to house the nuclear football used by the President of the United States.
