Home Depot

We used home depot for heavy duty gloves that we are using in our companies. For couple of years we are buying this items to them. I am satisfied to the quality of their products. The price is affordable and i can tell that they have a wide selection of products to choice. They have also an informative website in which I can see many discounts and promos for their products in which is very good to them but i am not satisfied to their customer services. Their staff are not corteous and knowledgeable to the items i asked. In which i found terrible. Overall its not that bad company and still we continue to buy their products especially heavy duty gloves. I can say and hoping for this review for them to improve those weaknesses.

Needs to improve: The weaknesses are their customer service is bad. Staff are not that knowledgeable. Not that competitive to other companies with the same items. Delivery is also really bad

You better know what your looking for because you won't be able to get help. If you do this person will have no clue what your even talking about. I bring the lock set with me if im getting keys cut

Strengths: They have everything a dude's dude will need. Large selection of power tools. Large selection of hand tools. Will sell used/display tools for cheap. Close location to my business.

Needs to improve: You would almost swear no body works here. I constantly have to tell the workers what this particular piece of equipment does. Employees are absolutely clueless to any aspect of construction. The location is in a bad neighborhood.

I was very disapointed with the service I received while at Home Depot. Customer service is terrible and I will be shopping at Lowe's from now on.

Strengths: Prices are ok

Needs to improve: Terrible customer service, I was there for 45 minutes and could not get 1 single employee to assist me.

Couldn't get any help with big orders, then couldn't get anyone to answer the phone, so lousy customer service.

Strengths: Had a hard time with Home Depot, they just didn't have enough staff or even enough customer service reps.

Needs to improve: they have a lot of weaknesses, mainly in customer service.

When I worked as a manager at a sports equipment store, we went to Home Depot to get the supplies needed for a remodel such as plywood and all other supplies. We ordered it through home depot and picked it up at a store, once at the store the customer service and in house expertise was excellent when they helped us load it. However, it did take awhile for the order to get to the store. Yer despite this, I recommend them as the supplier of improvement items for any projects as they are the best at it. Highly recommended.

Strengths: Home depot is a excellent supplier of anything that involves home or office improvement. They sell everything you would need for a remodel such as plywood or nails. These all come at excellent prices and are easy to get at stores.

Needs to improve: Slow Order

Its a decent large box store. Of all the home improvement stores, this is definitely better in my opinion than lowes or OSH. Generally the items are a bit more expensive from my experience than if you actually go looking around for it and variety can be limited (ie. tiles at home depot vs. a specialized tile store, etc.). The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you will find someone that is very knowledgeable and helpful, other times you find someone that should work at lowe's.
In general, for a hardware store, home depot probably is my first choice for convenience

We usually turn to home depot when we have hardware, hand tool, or equipment needs which doesn't justify a specialized vendor, or is being purchased as one off or small batch. They have a good business account system and support, allowing us to track and enter purchases based on our PO system, which is a plus and great advantage over other hardware providers. Only gripe is that service reps with solid knowledge of hardware requirements are hard to find in store, although we usually know exactly what we're looking for so this is a tiny issue.

Needs to improve: Hard to find qualified service reps

Our order was for a replacement fridge at our work office. Home Depot's site let us choose at day and time slot that worked best for us. Other sites only give you a delivery window of days which makes it hard to coordinate the installation with the office.

Needs to improve: They should do without the automated confirmation calls. If you are not there to answer the phone it will call multiple times and leave voicemails.

I make a "Home-Depot Run" for work at least once every couple of months.Typically I only go for common things like PVC pipe, a drill bit or cleaning supplies. Although Home Depot is essential for "do it yourselfers" they offer very little in terms of useful products for industrial purposes.

Strengths: Home Depot has a ton of locations scattered throughout the US so they are conveniently located no matter where you are.

Needs to improve: Limited Industrial parts. If you're looking for anything that is out of the ordinary, you might be better off going to a mom & pop hardware store.

My old construction company use to have a business account with hpme depot and I would use it daily. Home depot is very resourceful and has great employees on hand who are very helpful and infirmational. Home depot has anything you need to complete any construction job at hand. Highly recommended!

Needs to improve: Fork lift drivers in curtain stores should watch out for shoppers as sone drive carelessly through the store.

Everything was great except for their prices. I love their service.

Strengths: Great service with a smile, typical of other Home Depots except Colma's. These folks really went out of their way to help a guy on a Saturday night struggle and getting this cut down to size so that it can fit in the car, in addition to purchasing a myriad of other items.

Needs to improve: I think they were a little over priced though. I needed to buy some pipes for our bathroom and they were kind of expensive.

When we are at work and we need a tool or maybe a certain tool we usually go to the Home Depot. They have a wide range of hand tools as well as power tools. We always buy for the Home Depot. Great customer service as well and everyone is very well knowledgeable

Strengths: Home Depot has a lot of tools to choose from. They always have what I need when I need it. I have never had a problem with the Home Depot having anything that I need.

Needs to improve: nothing

home depot is always a good option when you need something immediately for some testing needs. you can probably find something at home depot to improvise with, and considering they are generally around you somewhere in this country, makes it convenient as an option to go.

As long as I know what I am looking for its fine. Products made for Home Depot are of lesser quality than those sold for more at smaller hardware and retail stores but they stand behind them and almost always have them in stock find the sales representatives to be friendly but not always informed or experienced in
the industry they are representing.

Overall very good, I would need last minute supplies to build displays for trade shows and Home Depot always has what I need.

Usually really satisfied with the store.

Strengths: We use the Home Depot to pick up supplies for the office. Great for putting together an office tool kit and for repair items. They have a huge selection and usually staff around the store are really helpful. We can also order online and pick up at the desk. Can usually find what you need.

Needs to improve: Large, warehouse type store can make locating items difficult. Sometimes checkout can be slow.

Home Depot is a great place to go for a lot of projects. Our company utilizes them fairly often for various supplies whether it's small construction projects, kitchen upgrades, bathroom upgrades, etc Home Depot usually has what we need.

Needs to improve: Be careful what you are looking at, there is usually a higher quality version and a cheaper version that won't last

i buy most of my supplies and tools from there, they also have very knowledgeable people if you need help or just some advice and opinions usually i get some opinions because they have such a huge variety .

Strengths: they have a big variety for all sorts of projects especially if your a contractor

Needs to improve: its to big, to much to see, they need golf carts to get people around

We have a small manufacturing/R&D facility and we have to do a lot of the maintenance and minor construction work ourselves. We find everything we need to keep up our facility from Home Deopt. The people there are not the most knowledgable.

Strengths: Home depot carries a wide variety of tools, hardware and building materials.

Needs to improve: Very poor custmer service. You are pretty much on your own in this store.

HD offers a wide selection of tools and components that we need at various stages of our assembly process. We like this particular HD as it's extremely convenient and easy for us to pop in and out for what we need. Our office orders numerous products from this location due to the level service and customer care. Will continue to support and refer.
