Strengths: Intoximeters makes some of the best field portable 'PAZ' devices in law enforcement. Our department has nearly 25 Alcosensor IV in use and they have proven to be reliable, durable and accurate. We use each device hundreds of times per year and have not had any bad experiences with them. They are fairly accurate when compared to the certified Draeger Alcotest we use as our implied consent tester. The alcosensor IV has a manual trap mechanism which can be used to obtain results from recalcitrant drunks. We get a significant amount of tests from each machine per battery charge as well.

Needs to improve: Relatively expensive. Not as accurate as an implied consent test.

we actually use intox for their computer based software to collect data from our breath testing systems. this allows us to have a centralized electronic storage of the data and their software is compatible with most computers and operating systems so integration should not be an issue. their results are reliable and the software we use is user friendly, great interface, and they offered our team members extensive computer based training on how to use and navigate the software

They produce some of the best portable devices on the market that are extremely durable and most importantly, accurate.
