Jpmorgan Chase Bank Nat Assn Reviews

Would not bank with

Customer Service , Medical Device
03/15/2014

Speed 1 / Price 1 / Quality 1

Chase Bank does not showcase credibility. It's hard for a client to bank with them ever again after numerous times of having to call and ask why they keep taking money out. It would be understandable if they took money out to pay overdraft fees and such, but those were never the reasons why they charged us a good amount of money. Not trustworthy.

Strengths: They let clients put their money in checking and savings account.

Needs to improve: They then secretly take money out of those checking and savings account. Then once you call them to ask them why they take sporadic amounts from your account, they have a different excuse every time.

Too many fees for a small business!

I opened up a small business and figured I would do my business banking with the same bank as my personal banking. Everything was fine in the beginning and then Chase started dropping a bunch of fees on me for no reason other than the economic downturn. No deal. I left shortly after.

Strengths: Large network of banks

Needs to improve: Service fees are out of control

Happy with their business services; disappointed with Paymentech mobile card processing

Generally happy with my Chase business account. However, gave their Paymentech mobile card processing service a try-- don't bother. It's overpriced (penalties if you don't meet the monthly minimum of sales, which happens during my offseason), cumbersome app, reader needs to be charged. I thought it would make sense to keep all of my transactions in house, but I'll stick with Square.

Strengths: Ubiquitousness. Friendly, personable customer service. Convenience. Great rewards cards (Southwest, Ink).

Needs to improve: Various, seemingly unnecessary fees. Their mobile card processing service is lacking and underpriced.

JPM is the broker that manages our company retirement plan, they have been very resourceful in managing this service for our continued employees as well as educating our new employees. they do charge our employees a quarterly fee that cannot be waived. JPM's software is incorporated int our company's own website. they have yearly, quarterly, monthly reviews.

Strengths: stock options, profit sharing, incorporated into our company online portal

Needs to improve: does charge our employees a quarterly fee that cannot be waved

A leading competitor

We contracted Jp Morgan to manage our banking and while we were happy with their services, the abundance of fees turned us off. Customer service was always easy to reach and did their part to address any issues. We appreciated the easy access and the level of care and analysis that went into our firm's accounts. However, we did feel that there were other comparable service providers that offered more value.

Strengths: customer service, efficient systems, accessability

Needs to improve: fees
