Keyence Corp

I looked at their digital microscope many times but always balked when we got a quote for the system. Depending on options, they begin in the five figure range and go up. Their system's quality and ease of use is what kept me coming back to them when looking for a way to capture high quality magnified images. They also can create 3D representations of the image using the stage to change the depth.

Finally, we purchased one and it became the workhorse in our R&D lab. Looking at failed specimens in detail and being able to stitch the different images together to increase the depth of field was incredibly useful. At high magnifications you normally only see a very small vertical depth. Not so with their systems.

As the title says, all this tech and features comes at a steep cost. Make sure you need them before purchasing. There are many other, cheaper options out there.

I have used their laser mics at multiple companies and continue to request the use of their laser mics. They are very accurate and incredibly functional. I have been able to modify the settings to get the data as accurately as desired and easily dump the data into a DAQ via digital or analog. All the capabilities are their depending on your preferences, although at times it can be complicated. It is nice to have the capabilities and not be constrained. The new green LED versions are also very nice as it minimizes reflection, so working with mediums that may distort your measurement with older laser mics, the new keyence systems are very stable. Field support has been very helpful as well.

Our experience had been great we like when we come to a company and everything just works out great ,we get our measurement tools and testing instruments from Keyence Corp and will do so again with no hesitations , they were loiter and had great customer service .

Great service, both after buying equipment and when assessing what solution is right for you. Their product lines offer many possible solutions for different budgets. However, you will have to figure out a way to integrate yourself (or finding an integrator).

Strengths: Awesome toys - wait, I mean equipment. This company has very innovative and easy to use equipment on the market. Their sales staff is extremely helpful in assessing your needs and finding solutions that fit your budget. Are also happy to test for you and do on site demos.

Needs to improve: Can be pricey, but you get what you pay for, in a good way.

We use Keyence laser OD measurement equipment for our daily in process inspection. It is suitable for parts that are fragile and can't use other contact measurement tools like snap guage and caliper. Very easy and simple to use. Customer support walked through us over the phone when we use them for the first time and it helped to use it properly.

Strengths: Easy to use OD touchless measurement system. Durable, we use it in CER for 2 years, the performance is still the same.

Needs to improve: Expensive but at least it is durable.

When we are starting up our company, we find out that among bidders, Keyence Corp also is the only company that offers the best sensors, image processing systems, safety laser scanners, blowers, microscopes, laser markers and code readers, among others. Since then, Keyence Corp got our trust and we continuously purchasing products from them.

Strengths: Highly engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of automatic controlling equipment, measuring instrument, information equipment and other electronic application equipment, as well as related systems and also engaged in the real estate, advertising and marketing businesses, through its domestic subsidiaries.

Needs to improve: nothing

I have used a Keyence optical micrometer (like a laser-mic, but using LED's as a light source) for many, many years. The system is quite easy to set-up and use on a daily basis in either an R&D or Manufacturing environment. The display unit can be programmed to do a multitude of functions including Min/Max, and statistical calculations (although the programming itself can be somewhat challenging). I would highly recommend the Keyence systems if you are shopping for an optical mic.

Our company has been using Keyence measurement over the years. There measurement sensors do a very accurate job. They are very precise. They use the highest quality materials for there products. There customer care always answers all of our questions! We have never had any issues with there products. With how fair the pricing is and how high of quality the products are we would be making a bad choice not going through them.

We had a few of their Laser Mic, OD measurement system. They are older model and just turn on/off and very easy to use it. I just called them to add another one because of older model I couldn't locate in their website. Customer service is patient and helpful finding me one that I needed to order.

we have one of their mics in the lab and it is extremely durable and the quality is also very good. their also a local vendor which makes orders easy to pick up same day if necessary. their shipments are also always on time as well even if its same day or over night. A+

I had a recent project that I used Keyence parts for. I purchased a force sensor and a measurement system to detect load on the sensor. The sensor and equipment were easy to assemble and functioned as described on their website. It was an easy transaction and the sensor has been very durable for the small size.

We use their non contact measurement system every day in the manufacturing line. They are very durable although ordering replacement parts can take time and expensive. It is a great system for us since the products are fragile to handle.

Keyence delivers great innovative products that can help improve the quality and the speed in production and inspection. They back it up with great technical and customer support. I just wish the price is not that sky high.

we use their laser mics for testing purposes in our lab on a daily basis. the mics are very accurate and reliable to us in the lab and make testing very efficient for us. the pricing is reasonable and packages are always on schedule.

keyence makes excellent instruments that i have always been very pleased with the quality and performance. they are pretty expensive and you can find cheaper options, but the quality may be compromised. keyence products have been made of top quality from my experience

I have Keyence equipment at a number of companies. They are reliable quality pieces. It would be nice if you could get product info, manuals, specifications, etc, without the need to create a user account, log in etc.

I have used several key emcee products including their VHX scopes and their spectral-interference displacement meters. All of their systems are top quality and their customer service is top notch. Prices are a little steep but that's the cost of quality

Being cutting edge comes at a cost. But boy are there equipment options cool. Used three cameras to create a multi angle inspection fixture. Works great and had help along the way with the clear documentation.
