Kontes Glass Co

We have used Kontes glass for many products and also custom housings in our assembly line that we use to manufacture medical devices. They have a wide selection of standard sizes and grades of strength to choose from. They are also able to cut you custom sizes if you need something very specific to fit your needs. THeir pricing scheme is very fair depending on if you want a standard size or custom cut. Otherwise, i'd say its fairly standard pricing. Their customer staff is friendly, helpful in finding you exactly what you need. I have not had any issues at all when contacting them over the phone. They pick up all the time on the first call and are very helpful over the phone. I have been dealing with them for years and will continue to do so for many years to come and have no issues recommending them to others.

My company experience with Kontes Glass co is fine not that great. We just contract them for custom housing that we needed for assembly lines in whic we use for manufacturing the devices we produce. They are reliable they send the delivery on expected date and accurate quotes. Customer service is fine they help us though. Price are reasonable so I can say that this vendor is good and great. Try them.

We reached out to Kontes as we need a customize a solution for a potential client. We enlisted their services a design consultant and they provided advice as to how best to proceed. Their expert staff were very insightful and customer service was easy to reach and engage with. The turnaround time for the schematic was rather quick as they offered a wide selection of solutions. Quality work product and a core team.

Needs to improve: They have no weaknesses.

Used Kontes to make a 1" diameter, .014" hole (perfectly centered) part for a capital equipment manufacturer. They used 4 or 5 glass tubes, overlapping them and shrinking them to size. Was costly but quality was good. Eventually moved to machining from glass cylinders at Insaco.
