The support isn't great in the service department. If you have problems and leave a message it may take a few days to call you back. Welder started making a weird noise that I was worried about and I called service they told me it wasn't a big deal and a upgraded pluming kit was needed when my machine had the upgrade kit already(I didn't know at the time) but they would be sending the part out in a week, never got a call or the part order didn't get processed. Didn't worry about it to much so about a month later called them up and got the parts shipped out for free under my warranty. This water system cools the flash lamp and the gold reflectors and the flash lamp contacts. I heard the service manager say those shouldn't be bad yet, but I just paid $1291.95 a year into my purchase with a warranty. I told them that the sales guy sold me on not having to replace the flash lamp like the rofin, they told me he is a sales person. He is YOUR sales guy. I didn't change the water filter at 6 months, but I was diligent about changing the water with their water. My buddy has had one for 2 years and hasn't changed the water filter yet and he has 5 employees and they crank the MS and The Hertz up all the time, and he hasn't had any problems. I got the impression that there is some inconsistency in there lasers.

Strengths: It is a nice product comparable to a rofin.

Needs to improve: Misdiagnosed my problem, warranty and service are frustrating I was told to only deal with the head guy after the plumbing issue. I don't know about the support for rofin but I do know in the 4 years I worked with one they had to replace the flashlamp 3 times, but that was still cheaper than my first dent a year in.

I'm somewhat happy with my purchase but I felt like the least important person on earth to the company throughout the sales process & training. At over $50,000, I expected a little customer service. I was treated as a nuisance, when this was a huge expense for me. The laser marker is just okay, nothing special. If I had known how incredibly difficult it is to line up items and that I would have to engrave/cut items one by one, I would NOT have purchased the laser. As it is, I'm stuck with it. I recommend you go to Florida before the purchase to test your machine. If I had, I don't think I would have purchased this one.

When our company needed an affordable, reliable way to laser weld, we were introduced to LaserStar after many failed attempts with other companies such as Rofin. We were really impressed with their products and customer service. With their financing/ leasing plan, it makes it easy for us to save money by just using what and when we need to in-house. Their small footprint really makes it a great way to choose when we really dont have the space needed. The prices are also unbeatable, so we will definitely be working together with them more!

Laser welding is much of an art form already, and LaserStar makes it more affordable to perform this process in-house. Furthermore, their small footprint makes it a good choice when space is limited (when is it not?). My key issue with LaserStar is the setup. We received 3 machines (same model), but the parameters to produce the same tensile strength weld was wildly different between the 3. Although, for the price, they can’t be beat, so I’ll likely order from them again.

We got our laser star welder PMed by their technician. He did a great job and explained how to perform minor PM services and how the laser welder works. However, tt did take them a week to come out to perform the service.

Strengths: They provide great customer service. They have a strong technical expertise regarding the equipment, and Preventive maintenance service. They respond promptly and they patiently explain the solution to the problem.

Needs to improve: They don't have enough staff to be able to provide quick onsite service.

LaserStar welders are more affordable than other brands out there. They are compact, which is great for small cleanrooms, but wished the systems were more consistent from shot to shot.

- Easy to work with to solve issues.

Needs to improve: - Prices for accessories. - The quality of the systems can be sub-optimal when dealing with delicate small parts. Lasag's are generally better with quality and consistency.

Laserstar laser welding stations are most welcoming when I've worked in small clean rooms. Since space is limited, the small footprint of their machine make them ideal. Although the setup is more cumbersome from equipment to equipment, even in the same model, the cost and space saving housing are a big pro.

We have contracted with laserstar for quite some time for our business. We always had smooth transaction with them and ordered many custom products from them with no trouble at all what so ever. Would recommend to any business out there that is in the market.

I used their laser welders for a variety of applications. The convenient size allowed the equipment to be moved from station to station. Once on the bench, the footprint doesn't take up too much space.

Easy to use interface. Once you get tour setting right, the welder is very reliable and provides quality and consistent welds

Laserstar welders seem to be everywhere. I have used them on several products and they always get the job done. Be sure to monitor power output with an Ophir sensor to keep your processes under control. We had one setback when attempting to replace an eyepiece with parts that had been obsoleted.

We use one of their laser welders at a sub assembly station. Its compact and does the job, but compared to other welders it works a bit slower. They offer a very competitive price, though,so if you aren't pinching minutes Laserstar Technologies offers a high-end product.

We use the lasere marking tools for our catheters and guidewires for ease of spotting these in a vessel. The laser marker is reliable and high quality. We have one in our lab and the other in our manufacturing area....

I've used the Laserstar laser welders, and they have worked well for my needs. Once you dial in the proper parameters for your materials and any inert gas requirements, you can get a pretty good reliable and consistent weld.

Ive used laserstars welding machine in the passed to weld together some weight equipment at the gym I work at and the machine was very efficient and easy to use. They also have superb customer service

While their product is great to use; they do their quality job and are space efficient but the quality of their product varies. Not all of them are made equally.

LaserStar machines are a good alternative when there are limited funds. You will need to spend some time to hone in the parameters for each machine though.
