Mar-Test Inc (now Element Materials Technology)

Now that it is Element, the variety of testing offered has an impact on frame availability.

Strengths: Communication and knowledge of test execution. Getting an email update on a test systematically every morning, before getting to the office is a real advantage.
Pricing is fair for what you get. Quite honestly, others are overpriced and more difficult to deal with.

Needs to improve: To be fair, it is the hardest thing to do, and I do not know anyone who does it just right every single time, but set up of a test can be a challenge, granted it sometimes could be improved by better fixtures, generally provided by the customer.

My start up outsources most of our testing to 3rd party facilities due to our constrained on site capacity. Mar-Test's full palate of offered services and expert team were primary reasons why we opted to enlist their services. Customer service is top notch as they were on top of communications, submitted requests and reported data. They have a large facility so availability is very good. Knowledgeable staff were always insightful and knew protocols thoroughly. Excellent vendor.

We have used them in the past for testing purposes. Sometimes we must outsource our device testing to test facilities due to the lack of space that we have available. We have 3 new dialysis products that we are going to release sometime next year and Mar-Test may be utilized by us again in the near future for temperature and humidity testing.

Good lab that is able to perform almost any testing needs.

Strengths: Good in house knowledge of testing standards. They were able to provide recommendations on fixturing and testing regime. Larger testing lab so able to accommodate most requests.

Needs to improve: Some times certain test equipment is booked for quite some time and may delay the ability to have your tests be performed quickly

Since our company decided to enlist their services, we are able to accommodate large request and orders
