Spun off from Spectrum Plastics Group on September 4th 2013, NPI/Medical is a New Product Introduction (NPI) company committed to providing the absolute best in P2P (Prototype to Production) for our medical device, life science, and health care markets.

NPI/Medical helps eliminate the chaos of the product development lifecycle by turning it into a strategic advantage for our customers. Operating from our 66,000 square-foot facility in Ansonia, CT with an experienced team of associates, the facility houses multiple production cells to help customers quickly move from prototype to production. Our capabilities include quick turn manufacturing for short runs, production injection molding for high volume programs, a full service tool room, and multiple clean rooms. NPI/Medical is also recognized for its expertise in medical clean room assembly, packaging, and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) capabilities.

LSR Capabilities

• Two in-house, 55-ton LSR production molding machines capable of horizontal/vertical molding and featuring full robot automation
• One 55-ton press dedicated to LSR prototype and short-run production
• Two 5- and 55-gallon microprocessor-controlled drum feed pumps
• One 5-gallon, manually regulated feed pump
• One microprocessor-controlled cartridge pump
• All pumps are prototype injection molding capable with heated LSR master frames and custom manual mix/feeding system
• Post-mold curing options

NPI/Medical’s LSR molding operations are Grade 8 (Class 100,000) cleanroom compatible.
