Precision Coating Co

We use Precision Coating Co. for Teflon coatings of some of our machined tungsten arms for our robotic equipment. Their process was able to take the finished tungsten part and apply the Teflon coating to all outside surfaces - helps to reduce the fiction during operation. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for - high quality parts. Their customer service is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to explaining the whole process - we will continue to use in the future.

We had order custom PTFE mandrel coating for our tooling. We just ordered minimum quantity and customer service help us to get the right service regardless of order quantity. Lead time can be long. It is also expensive since we ordered for minimum quantity and it was a custom work so as we expected in advance. I will still recommend it because of their quality of work.

Precision coating coats all our manufacturing aid mandrels. They are of high quality, durable and have great capabilities for applying uniform thicknesses over the length of the mandrels. They are an alternate supplier though due to their higher price and longer leadtimes compared to competitors, however, still a highly recommended supplier for PTFE coating surface treatments.

We've order from them as a second source of vendor. Their product has high quality. The lead time is longer so we use them for in case the main vendor got delay in the shipment.

They quoted us for coated wires and it seemed reasonable. We didn't end up using them because we had PWC on our ASL, but I will try them another time for prototypes.
