Typically, the shorter the lead time on the component order, the smaller your choice of materials, though they have shown the ability to be flexible and accommodate special requests on quick-turn orders
If you are looking for very high resolution SLA, there are better choices out there, but if you need SLA parts fast from a high capacity supplier, it's hard to beat them.
Strengths: Quickparts has a substantial variety of SLA materials available, including water clear and high temperature materials. IMO, their greatest strength is that they give you the option to pick your ship date (expedited pricing applies). This has very often come in handy when speed is of greater concern than cost.
I have used them extensively over that last year, and they have never failed to ship on time.
Needs to improve: Quickparts distributes their SLA manufacturing around the US and Mexico. Some specialty SLA materials are only run at certain locations, so if you're looking for something exotic, lead times can be a little longer on occasion (3 or 4 days instead of 1 or 2). For my last couple of orders (Dec 2013), they assigned a Project Manager based in Mexico who was far less responsive to phone calls than PM's that I've worked with in the past. I cannot say if the issue was due to the PM, or their location.
We were looking to see our ideas come to life. We sent a few different vendors our spec sheet and designs for our potential product. We wanted to see how various companies did it and the variations of processes between various vendors. Turns out, everyone pretty much uses the same technologies and care when making prototypes. Pricing is competitive all around, the only thing that really sets apart one for another is customer service and customer care. Quickparts is one of the better companies out there. They were easy to communicate with and get ahold of, knowledgeable and honest. They will be straightforward about anything they can or can not do and that's very refreshing when companies just tell you yes just to get your business/contract and then say no. Great communication and sales team.

We used to use their services for all our 3D printing in the past. They have always got us exactly what we ordered in a timely manner. Always made with a high grade resin mixture and always built to our specs.They can be a little pricy and it starts to add up which is one of the reasons we have purchased our own 3D printer and we now do our own in house printing. But I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality 3D printing.
Strengths: They provide a great service in their 3D printing abilities. Great place to go for prototype parts.

When i am unable to source someone locally to produce rapid prototype SLA models or for parts that are difficult to machine, quickparts has been a choice preference in those instances. They have extremely quick turn around and are able to get parts and prototypes shipped to me within days upon. Even with a quick turn around, the quality is maintained.
All that you need to do is provide 3D models (solidworks, etc) to their engineers and they can easily turn prototypes around for you.

the fact that we have their phone number on speed dial in the3 R&D lab should say it all. they are #1 for all of our prototyping needs. they have an extremely friendly staff who is also very knowledgeable and easy to work with. they have helped us with many prototypes here in the lab that has helped us run our company all the way to the top of the mountain. their services can get quite pricy but the outcome is way worth it. A+

Quickparts is my go to vendor for rapid prototyping. We have worked with them on multiple projects and they always produce good quality and timely results that meet our needs. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Pricing is fair and they always meet our timeline requirements. There have been times when we weren't happy with our design and they were able to come up with suggestions, saving us valuable time. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them for future designs/projects. A+!

quickparts is one of the first rapid prototyping vendors i contact when i have a 3d printing job. their turnaround time is quick. they really do live up to their name. the part finish is decent for an initial look. i’m not sure if it’s just me, but i seem to get better parts when i call than when i put in an order through their website. it’s also nice to get their feedback on the part and potentially how to improve it.

Our company has worked with Quickparts on numerous occasions for their rapid prototyping services for models for trade shows and events. Our project managers have always been effective at delivering both quality service and final products in an effective manner. They offer a wide selection of materials and their in-house know-how allows for quick turnarounds. This is key when showcasing prototypes at one trade show to another. We will definitely use Quickparts again in the very near future! Recommended for fast turnaround and quality service!

The instant online quoting system is nice to use as well to get an idea of the cost and timing of prototype parts.
Even though I have access to a MakerBot, I almost always buy some samples from Quickparts prior to cutting loose on the PO for an injection mold.

Quickparts is my #1 supplier of 3D printed models. Their turn-around and part finish is usually very good, but I get the best results when I call and talk to customer service rather than just depending on the website. While the website is good, and the online quotes are convenient, it isn't instant to compare prices for different processes or to know which process is best for your specific application.

I have been using Quickparts for 5+ years to produce rapid prototypes of a variety of parts. They offer many different processes, which can be a bit confusing, but their project managers have always provided valuable advice to help me choose the appropriate process.

We've worked with Quickparts in the past for generating 3D printing for us. Their quotes were on the dot and the printing quality was on par with other companies we've used. The biggest help came in helping us iterate quickly so we can see what needed to be improved. Overall the experience with them was a good one and would consider using them again in the future.

We used Quickparts for some rough prototypes during a design change project. They were able to get us a quote the next day, and then the parts arrived within a week and a half. The parts were high quality, and did exactly what we needed them to do. Customer service was excellent as well.

When you need a precision prototype made ASAP, look no further than Quickparts. They live up to their name and get you the part fast. With just a solid model, they can generate a prototype. A drawing isn't even necessary if you don't have one drawn up yet or if you are in a hurry.

I use them all the time for when SLA or 3d printing won't do. I am always amazed at the quality of the parts that i get from them

Needs to improve: They cannot handle complex geometry, but at the speed they turn parts it is to be expected
I have used quick parts in the past to prototype components. As they're name states, they are quick. They're also part of the 3D Systems family of companies so you know they're experts in rapid prototyping.
Strengths: Quick turn around of prototypes and injection molded parts.
Needs to improve: Sure they're expensive but that's the cost of saving time
