I have used Shear-Loc Products throughout my career as a quick source for thumb screws & knobs to be used on existing socket head cap screws. They are a great source when in a pinch and cannot get custom knurled fasteners - use their knobs with socket head cap screws. It has helped us when we need to have a quick solution before spending the dollars and time on custom knurled screws. In addition to knobs Shear-Loc has different types of thumb-screws: knurled knobs, tee knobs, rosette knobs, thumb nuts, etc... Through their website you will be able to access / order the required component. I like the fact that they also have kits that can be purchased, so you are able to try other options. A good short term solution for fastening needs.

Supplier of Thumb Screws for our Coil release system Box. The clamp part requires the use of a thumb screw to attach it to a stable device. The ease of the thumb screws allow the doctor to mount the unit just about anywhere to make is work simplified.

Shear Loc has high quality screw. There thumb- screws are excellent replacements for smaller screws/bolts that hold drives and components. They are large enough so that they can conveniently handled by one's fingers. Good customer service. Sales stuff was very helpful answering my questions.

Excellent selection (color and size) of press-on thumbscrew and flowerette knobs for socket head cap screws. Great to use for ease of assembly/disassembly. Hold up well to drops and impacts too. Need a press to install.
