Sigmund Cohn routinely provides tight tolerance 92 Pt / 8 W alloy wire for our medical devices. The original producer of 92/8 Alloy, Sigmund has always been willing to work with me to produce finer and tighter tolerance wire. At each company I've been at, they have been instrumental in my company's ability to produce new products based on new wire sizes. When first approached about holding tolerances to 0.00025", they said they had never tried, but they would see what they could do. A week later I had a sample and 3 weeks later I had 10,000 ft. Just awesome!

Since the beginning of the relationship between our two companies Sigmund has been a pleasure to work with. Their products have been very dependable as they are of very high quality. Sigmunds representatives work with us to deliver the necessary products for our needs without giving us products we don't need. This helps keep costs down and as a smaller company we appreciate that. Sigmund has provided precious metal wires for us in the past. They have competitive pricing (market price) and short lead times. They delivery on time, often times ahead of the promised delivery date. They had some quality issues a few years back. We had to go with another supplier but they have been very eager to get our business back. Sales is very responsive and willing to to got the extra mile.

Needs to improve: Years ago, Sigmund Cohn had a problem with a platinum/tungsten wire for several months without notifying customers. We found out only after the supply dried up. leaving us scrambling for another supplier.

We've also just start using some of their platinum wiring for prototypes as well and so far they are holding up just fine.
