We needed some mice for testing a bacteria from humans in mice as a fecal transplant. They provided us with a good first batch of animals from which we have now continued to expand on in subsequent orders.

Strengths: Jackson is a leader in the field but does not rely on their virtual monopoly to reduce standards. Instead they set them and continue to improve the quality and variety of products they supply. It is hard to say what the field of pharmaceuticals and basic research would do without them.

Needs to improve: none, really. they set the standards.

We needed a third party researcher to test some of our findings. We went with jackson laboratory because they were ethical. They asked us the right questions when we approached them and gave reassuring answers when we asked questions. Their lab is very high tech and their researchers are far and beyond ours. We trusted them and knew if we trusted them, others will trust them too. So using the transitive property, if they support our findings, everyone should support our findings.

We were referred to Jackson as we were starting to research the potential effects of environmental pollutants on lab mice. They provided us with a sample population so that we can conduct our research. While our studies have since subsided, we had a positive experience with their staff and service representatives. They were very professional and accountable throughout.
