Purchased two $70,000+ instruments within a couple years and the story is oddly very similar, which points to a systemic Company failure for Thermo Fisher in my opinion. Sales and specifications will claim capabilities that after 8 months of working with support simply cannot be delivered. "We will close this ticket as there is simply nothing we can do" or "That really hasn't ever worked so you can attempt some workarounds" are comments from support that are really too common when spending a lot of money for equipment. The installation engineer for our FTIR added another comment "I hope you don't actually need to use that (feature of the instrument) because for the life of me I can't get it to work and support wasn't able to find anything either." One would expect when buying what is considered their top end line of equipment that increased performance could be expected (at least to match the sales specifications) but in the end I have found that the ICS6000 has taken a lot more bench space and simply performs no better that a IC2000 system from a decade ago. The software products on both instruments, Ion Chromatography using Chromeleon, and FTIR using OMNIC both have errors and items that are simply not supported. Honest support agents will simply admit they are too buggy, so work arounds are the solution. I thought patience and an open willingness to attempt repairs would lead to a solution, but alas in the end I have found that I should have demanded they analyze samples to prove functionality before purchasing to begin with. From experience, I have found that instrument sales are not always in touch with the reality of what the instruments can actually do. The software is actually my interaction method, and unfortunately that is even less polished.

I have purchased two DSC units from Thermo Fisher over the last 8 years. The first one was to replace a unit that lasted 15 years without problems. Their equipment if very durable. It was unable to be repaired so a new unit was purchased. Due to the demand for this equipment another unit was shortly thereafter purchased. Both units are very durability and function at a high level of precision which my industry demands. I had only 1 negative comment and that is the delivery time requirement for all quotes. I needed an HPLC component quickly that the sales person said was in stock, however the quote said it would be 90 days to delivery. I just couldn't wait 90 days for an in-stock part so I went elsewhere for that order. For long lead times on durability thermo-equipment, Thermo Fisher is my first stop. Good company.

We use thermo Fisher for most of the lab supplies for testing in the lab as well as in the clean room. They provide excellent customer service with good prices. Huge selection to choose from. When issues happen with our equipment they are quick to help us find a solution in a timely manner. Prices are fair but I think it's worth it for the support that they provide. They offer quick shipping on products as well. Their customer service is always easy to reach and their staff is always friendly and knowledgeable as well. Will continue to use them as a supplier for many years to come.

Thermo Scientific is one of the leaders in medical technology with a highly reputable image in the industry. thus we have chose them as our vendor for our biological safety cabinets and clean benches. their registered SmartFlow technology has dual-DC motors to balance the cabinet inflow and downflow in realtime. the model we have has the Digital Airflow Verification alarm which notifies us of any out-of-spec conditions adding assurance that our sample is safe and products are safe for injection. Thermo also has great technical support and have crews that can be dispatched to your sight the next day for technical support. the website offers a lot of resources and training material for our staff members as well

My company contracts Fisher Scientific to supply all of our lab equipment for our 3 locations. They have very high quality products that are reliable, accurate and never give us any issues. Due to their high quality we never have to worry about the tools we are using and we can focus on producing the best product possible. I have also had a chance to work with both their sales and customer service teams and it has been a pleasure. They are highly knowledgeable and work hard to make sure exactly what we need with a quick turn time. I would highly recommend using Fisher Scientific as they do not disappoint.

we have 3 fridges in our pharmacy all from thermo scientific. one for pt medications, one as a freezer for meds that need to be kept frozen and a larger fridge for meds requiring refrigeration. Because we are dealing with med stability and injectables, the temperature must remain steady and thermo scientific has worked very well for us. we keep temperature logs (as all pharmacies do) and we have never had anything out of range. also if there are minor issues, their team is great and knowledge and is able to have a person come by to look at the fridge same day.

In the lab, most of our standard equipment are from ThermoFisher Scientific: hot plates, magnetic stirrers, stir bars, water circulators, etc. Almost always the equipment works straight out of the box with no issues. On the rare occasion, considering how much ThermoFisher equipment we have, we do receive equipment that is not functional and it is a bit of a hassle to follow through with the exchange process since they are a large company and tend to move at a glacial pace.

We have been using Thermo Fisher for years and they supply many of the lab equipment components that we use. Their equipment is of high quality, fairly priced, and they ship very quickly. We have not had any issues at all with their shipments coming on time when we are in a bind. Customer service is very friendly and staff is knowledgeable in helping you find what you need for specific purposes. If you're not sure what you're looking for they can be very helpful in finding that answer for you!

In a previous company, we manufactured proprietary cry equipment for aesthetic medicine. We used a chiller from Thermo Fisher as the chilling source. The chillers were very reliable, we hardly ever had any field issues. When a problem did come up, their quality group worked very closely with us to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. I was very impressed with their customer service and commitment to quality.

Strengths: Thermo Fisher makes a very wide variety of laboratory equipment. immersion and recirculating chillers, centerfuges and cold storage. They have excellent customer service and a very responsive quality control department.

We've purchased multiple sets of Nalgene bottles and packaging bottles for use in our labs from Thermo Fisher Scientific as we are in the process of converting from glass lab equipment. They have a complete selection of Nalgene labwear and although the initial buy was overwhelming at first, their sales support was a tremendous help in guiding me through the selection process and talking me through the product line. Recommend as a supplier of lab equipment, Nalgene or otherwise.

we use thermofisher equipment a lot in the laboratory and usually don’t have any issues with the product. on one shipment, two of the hot plates didn’t work, so we had to work with customer service for over a month before a replacement was sent. not really customer service rep’s fault, but just from thermofisher being a large company.

I buy various supplies and equipment from ThermoFisher for use on our lab. They provide a wide array of product to choose from and usually have just about everything one would need. They're customer service is eager to please and know there products very well which makes ordering a breeze. Very dependable and reliable supply source

We use this in our department to measure and to control the temperature of our incubators. It never fails, always on time, and the quality is really good. Built to last product. Although this brand is kinda expensive, I still recommend this to anyone.

Our business uses Thermo Scientific for it's lab needs. There equipment is superior to other company's and at our R&D group worth the cost. I have not encountered any issues with their products and their customer service is excellent.

If there is no issue with the product, they are great. When we had a couple issues and worked with their customer service it was a long drawn out process that made something small into a two month ordeal.

Our lab is full of ThermoFisher Equipment. Hot plates, Hot Plates with Stirrers, Water Baths, Incubators, etc. All are extremely reliable. Even equipment purchased used has been rock solid. Some equipment has run continuously for weeks and months without any issues.
