Uhaul

Have had to use Uhaul on a couple instances to tow cars for customers. I run an auto shop and sometimes customers drop cars off to me that are not running. I sometimes need to have the cars towed to have them tuned, body shop work, etc. Until I get my own dedicated towing rig, I have been using Uhaul for the random times I need to tow a customer car. Their trucks are well maintained and have enough towing and braking power to tow safely. They also have one of the best designed towing trailers that are suitable for lowered cars as the fender covering the wheels on the driver side folds down to allow the car door to be opened in even the lowest cars i've seen. Pricing is per mile and can get expensive. If you drop the car off and trailer off at a different site then that places you in a different scheme, so theres really no way around it you are going to end up paying a lot of money. This is a pricing practice that seems to be reflected in all the other tow truck rental companies I have dealt with. Overall - good trucks, fair pricing, trailers are good for lowered cars.

We needed a truck to move a few items out of storage, we found the truck available through Uhaul's website and while picking it up the people there were friendly and gave us great advice on driving the vehicle and what other options we should look into. Gave us two different pricing options, a one way option and a return to original site option, showed us the pricing and let us pick between the two. We chose the cheapest. Very happy with their service.

Strengths: We use Uhaul for truck rentals. They have numerous locations and lots of options for rentals pricing agreements. They are very upfront with their pricing and will have great detailed billing invoices. Great pricing and availability.

reliable truck rental company. they are generally available at some location near you, which is useful since each location may not have the exact size you are looking for. quick and easy. you can rent pickups, vans, and huge moving trucks. anything that may fit your need. also their locations generally carry basic moving supplies (they are priced a little higher, so if you plan ahead you can probably buy what you need elsewhere, but if you don't have the time, they have it all)

We use Uhaul quite often to take supplies to our off site storage and bring stuff back from storage. Getting and returning the trucks is a pretty fast process and they usually have a good inventory on hand so we do not even have to make advanced reservations. On the down side, the trucks are very poorly maintained and drive terribly.

Strengths: Uhaul rents trucks at a low cost. They rent pickup trucks, cargo vans and large moving trucks.

Needs to improve: Trucks are poorly maintained

This is my backup rental company when I need to move product. The trucks are often dirty inside the cab as well as in the box. But they are cheap.

Strengths: Single day rental. Cheapest truck rental. Lots of different size trucks.

Needs to improve: Dirty trucks. They are not that comfortable. Often times they feel like they are going to break down. The guy at this Uhaul is not very friendly.

We use Uhaul to rent trailers whenever we are towing our vehicles to events or other shops for work. They are reliable and their equipment is always inspected very well prior to release. Will continue to use as one of our main sources of vehicle transportation.

Strengths: Lots of availability, they rent individual trailers for auto motives, lots of selection.

Needs to improve: Expensive for one way travel

We used them a couple time when we moved equipment to storage and moved offices. the Truck werelarge and didn't have any issues but they were very dated. The prices were very good and the selection of vehicles were great. They also came with moving blankets and handtrucks

excellent place to go to get a rental truck if you need to move things. also a great place to go for immediate needs for packaging supplies when in need. they carry quite a bit of supplies and many locations for convenience

great resource to find a vehicle to help move items without the worry of damage to the vehicle (unless you crash it...) good pricing and very useful. also can find packaging supplies if you need some right now

Uhaul are very good when it comes to transporting stuff from one place to another. Had a few jobs that use them to relocate. Good company and good customer service.

Strengths: Nice size trucks to move large pieces of equipment.

Overall its a great place to rent large rental trucks, at affordable prices. Only issue is that the trucks are pretty beat up and not well maintained
