VMWare is our sole computing consulting company. When I first started our non-profit company, VMWare sent 2 of their local consultants to set up our virtual computing system. Both consultants seemed very knowledgeable about what they provided and the team they brought with them to set up the system worked shiftily. We did come across a few electrical issues during our set up but the team VMWare sent were able to resolve it and they have been available since then to help with any of our computing issues. we have our online account with them and have been able to communicate through that way with our consultants. overall, great virtual computing consulting company with excellent customer service and some great minded, intelligent people who work for them

Now that the product is implemented, the ease of use has definitely exceeded our expectations. It runs smooth, is easy to manage and has a wide range of applications. Now we just need to manage demand from our organization.

Strengths: Software is very easy to use. Very simplistic interface even when managing a large organization with several virtual images running different operating systems. Easy to train staff to manage virtual machines in the software and many technicians prefer being on virtual machine duty as opposed to onsite support.

Needs to improve: It can become pricey depending on your infrastructure and your particular demands. Make sure you have a clear road map prepared.

Our server room and R&D lab uses the VMware virtualization product. The workstation package is especially easy to use of our R&D group to create multiple virtual environments to allow specific testing to be doe in each environment yet you are only using one workstation. Breaks the computer or server up to mini cirtual computers within one workstation or server. Saves us so much money on hardware purchases.

VMware is a virtual computing company that supports all of company data online for our pharmacy. they are also incorporated into our automation system such as the Parata and Omnicell machine. it allows us to access information, and manage our automation system outside of the pharmacy. VMware sent a technician to for technical support during the setup of our computer system as well as our automation system to streamline everything.

My firm uses the virtual computing provided by VMware. It has cut our infrastructure and hardware costs of our IT department. Easy to use software.

Strengths: Reasonable pricing, reduces overall infrastructure and hardware costs for the firm. Easy to use software.

Needs to improve: Bit computing lag compared to actual physical machines, but not terrible.

We are moving now on the hosted virtual desktop (HVD) infrastructure to minimize hardware costs while maximizing the resources and capabilities of the shared physical servers where virtual machines are hosted.

Strengths: Reasonable price, Eliminate more hardware costs, Sharable resources

Needs to improve: Slower than physical machine but manageable

Overall Vmware makes good software for running VMs. My company is using them to significantly reduce costs and mostly limiting installs to the less intense users.

A necessity for high availability computing. VMWare education has been very useful, and quite worth the price
