Our R&D Engineering has been dealing with Wright Engineered Plastics injection molding needs. Their engineering staff has been able to address all of our concerns with respect to: design, materials, process, quality, quoting, assembly and delivery times. When you are fighting time constraints it is nice to know there are vendors that are concerned with the bottom line - cost, quality & delivery. Furthermore, Wright Engineering Plastic has expects that can address the simple design to complex, they can suggest ways to lower the price - single tools to multiple cavities. Customer service is great and a large reason why we chose them as they kept us informed throughout the entire process, all while offering additional solutions.
Strengths: All types of Injection Molding - Engineering Knowhow - Customer service - Quality Products - Price Competitive - Assembly
Needs to improve: To soon to tell
I've used WEP (Wright Engineered Plastic) as a vendor for a handful of projects with various companies I've worked for in the past. WEP is a very competent molding vendor with reasonably priced molds. They do their tooling both domestically and overseas, but all the molding is done in their Santa Rosa, CA facility. The benefit to this is that customers can save cost by having the tooling done overseas, but don't have to worry about quality control of the parts being produced off the mold because the molding is done domestically.
WEP is also a good assembly house, where they can take your molded component(s) and further process/assemble and package it in a cleanroom environment.
Strengths: Good molding vendor, good product assembly in cleanroom environment, good quality system
Needs to improve: None so far.
