We been using 3D Systems Corporation for years for assistance for our prototype plastic design for the bezel, front panel, doors and vent on our new desk top enclosures. Fathom's 3D rapid prototypes have provided us with the exact detail, so we can evaluate the overall interface of the bezel to front panel for the enclose. This cuts down the risk that we will have to take when we spend money on the tooling for our injected molded parts. Their customer service staff is very friendly, easy to work with, and very quick to respond to inquiries and provide us with quotes and delivery schedules. The time spent on the phone or email is worth it as they are able to address all answers and concerns - great technical support.

3D Systems is my go-to supplier for SLA prototyping services. I can usually get parts within a week standard.

Recently, the quality and customer service from 3D Systems has gone down the drain. I'll give you two examples: (1) I have been ordering the same part from them several times. I reorder the same parts, and this time they send them to me out of the wrong material. This material doesn't work for my needs (it is too brittle), but I have to find a way to use these components (I do not have ANY time to get new components). This left me working a lot of OT just to hand modify these parts so I could get something usable. (2) They incorrectly cancelled a PO that I had placed, resulting in a delay. After I inform them, they rush the parts out, but don't ship next day (as I instructed them to several times!). Again, this delayed my project. I've emailed them several times to ask what happened, and I have yet to receive a response. I really can no longer trust 3D Systems to make the correct components, or have them ship on time. I have no extra time in my project for incorrect materials, cancelling POs, etc. This should be a mostly automated, error-proof system. I will be going elsewhere for my SLA prototyping needs.

Strengths: 3D Systems Corp is one of the top manufacturer when it comes to 3D Printing. They have a wide selection of 3D Printers which you choose from. We have use materials such as; plastics, metals and ceramics for our prototypes. The results of the manufacturer parts meets and exceeds our manufacturing specifications. The color of the results were amazing. The technical and customer support were very friendly and knowledgeable. Price is competitive. Delivery was on time. Their Field Engineer was dispatch to setup the machine and training was great.
Needs to improve: None So Far
Our firm contracted with 3D Systems Corp to help us do some 3d printing to prototype some of our medical devices. With 3d printing still in its infancy, our firm needed a lot of guidance throughout the process and 3d Systems did a great job. Their customer service department was not condescending and tried to help us understand the process. Having the ability to do some rapid prototyping on our designs saved us money in the long run and we will definitely use this vendor when the opportunity arises again!

Our firm sources from 3D systems for their high quality latches that we use in our manufacturing process. Their products have never given us any issue and we have been able to order large quantities without any delays. As a smaller firm, this is very important to us as we have tight deadlines that we are always trying to meet. Their customer service department is on point and prices have always been competitive. We will definitely continue to source from 3d Systems!

My company contracts 3d Systems Corp for their 3d prototyping. When prototyping our consumer products it's helpful to make quick modifications to the product and get an actual sample in a short amount of time. 3d Systems is able to deliver on this need. Their process is easy and their prices are reasonable. I have had a chance to interact with their customer service teams and they have been a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend 3D Systems.

Not too many problems overall with the projet 3500. Material is really pricey.
Strengths: The machines that print plastic and use wax for a support material, enable extremely delicate features to be printed.
Needs to improve: Machine software is kinda buggy and parts are not as flat as desired, tend to warp. Hard to discuss technical issues with 3D Systems because they put the independent dealers between you and them.
We have always had a good experience with 3D. They deliver on time and have short leads. They offer a variety of prototyping services depending on how high of a quality you require for your prototypes. Friendly customer service is always there to answer any questions. One of our go to places for SLA printing.

we have one of their 3d modeling printer in the R&D lab and print many prototype parts and equipment with it. the modeling's are very good quality and the printer is very reliable as well. one of these machines can set you back a pretty penny but it is very worth it.

I have ordered from 3d a few times for company purposing and out of all companies I have ordered from 3d is by far the best. Their staff is very friendly, resourceful, and helpful. Shipping is fast affordable a on time.

Our company had to purchase a couple 3D printers for prototyping. 3D Systems printers fit into our checklist of requirements. It helps they are within driving distance of our facilities so issues, maintenance has been limited. They are building a name for themselves so they have reliable products.

We use them a lot because they use materials that are close to what we want for our final product and they are fast but you will have pay for it.
Strengths: Good range of materials quality of printing is good
Needs to improve: Printing can be inconsistent based on which job shop you use.
We use 3D to bring to life some of our renderings and non working models of our products. Often times we like to create models out of various materials so we can adjust the look and feel of it before starting production. Overall we are happy with their services and competitive pricing.

We contract 3D systems for their high quality products such as locks and latches and have been satisfied. Their products are reliable and have made our jobs easier. They also provide excellent customer service and fast shipping. We would contract them again and recommend to others.

We contacted 3D Systems to perform 3D printing and rapid prototyping of new product dispensers. The customer service experts were very helping in navigating us throughout this project and provide design suggestions for ease of manufacture. We would use this vendor again for similar services.

3D systems supplies my company with a few products. They make bezel, latches and locks. Okay quality could be better.... Not one of our favorite vendors. .. Service can be shaky. Beware!
