Accellent Inc - (Now Lake Region Medical)

We are a small startup and we rely on Accellent to provide an extension to our R&D group. We are able to out source entire subsystems to them and their team of engineers work very closely with us to make that the final output meets all of requirements.

Strengths: Accellent provides outstanding design and development support to the medical device industry. The provide turnkey solutions in design, development, prototyping and manufacturing. They have extensive experience working in almost every medical device area.

Needs to improve: Very expensive

This company have a reliable service that you can count on their product is superior in quality and efficient for long time use
. They have quality customer service that will assist you and guide thru ordering or any issues you may have.
Ordering process is always fast and reliable
Shipping and handling is excellent always on time and package always arive in excellent condition. A company you want on your side

Needs to improve: None

We have turned to them in the past when we were in the need of a test fixture to assist us in the testing of our stepper motors. They also designed us a special jig to insure the optical sensors were positioned correctly on the motors as well. Kinda pricy though in my honest opinion.

Strengths: Great place if your in need if hugs and fixtures to help with your applications.

Needs to improve: Pricy in my opinion.

I have had a few sales representatives/engineers that have been extraordinary in helping meet my requirements and demands on projects, also suggest me to the proper sources within the company.

Strengths: Large company with facilities throughout the US. Excellent service especially knowledge sale who willing to help the customer needs..

Needs to improve: an extremely large company with services scattered throughout. difficult at times to pinpoint where you should focus your energy to find the proper resource

I have used Accellent primarily as a fall-back resource for Pt markerbands. As the smaller companies have been rolled up, it has gotten increasingly difficult to make small orders. That being said, when you desperately need a part that they have, it can be well worth the effort.

Needs to improve: can be difficult to get them to sell you parts

Great experience overall with Accellent. We have purchased both custom wires and wire services from these guys. Always friendly and able to provide solutions as we re-configured our electrical systems during our first mini-expansion. Very knowledgeable and thorough as they did extensive testing to make sure voltage was distributed evenly throughout our warehouse. A great vendor.

Once this vendor provides with acceptable first article parts, their process is in control. They do take a long time to get this place though. They have taken longer than normal time to respond to problems related to their parts.

Strengths: excellent technical expertise, quality system, and inspection methods.

Needs to improve: low customer service, delayed response, and long lead time.

They are good in their response, availability, pricing but not in adaptation to something different.

Strengths: Accellent has its hands in extrusion, electrical circuitry, metallurgy, nanotechnology, they provide solutions in multiple facets of manufacturing.

Needs to improve: Because they have their hands in so many corners in manufacturing, they are limited in their ability to improvise on a new challenge.

Reliable supplier ofr molded and raw components we utilize in our manufactuing and engineering processes. These have been quality products. The deliveries were always complete. We worked well with the cusotmer service department.

Needs to improve: None I can recall for as few times as we have done business with them

It can be hard to get Accellent's attention for a new project that needs mostly small quantities of prototype parts. Once the order size becomes larger, they start to become a better fit.

We dealt with one of their companies for some injection molded parts. Just OK quality and OK turnaround. Average all around.

we have contacted Accelent Inc. on multiple occasions for prototyping's. they have helped us numerous times with prototyping ideas and laser cuttings for our prototypes and ideas. we will contact them in the future for more prototypes. they are also very customer friendly and helpful.

I've been using Accellent for some time now and my experiences have been great. They have always provided me with Pt/Ir Marker Bands with a quick turnaround and good pricing.
