We purchased a heavy duty container with bins. The overall construction was great, a very sturdy product. One issue was during the shipment they tend to flex and will take a set - most of the issues straighten themselves out once the cabinet gets leveled. Putting the metal shelves takes a bit of patience due to the cabinet being deformed due to shipping. As the cabinets are custom the delivery can be extremely long and we had to keep calling to find out when they would arrive. Great product just be ready for a wait when it comes to delivery....

Needs to improve: They don't always respond to emails or phone calls the first time around, quotes can take a bit, their website needs improvement - hard to narrow down the exact configuration. Delivery is long!!!

Very useful product in CERS, labs, and for basic organization. Easy to color code components for a specific project line or just down to the basic component. These bins are instrumental in decreasing the amount of clutter around the product line. Very useful for my own desk as well for organization and space saving. Their products that are in stock ship very quickly and almost arrive the next day depending on where you live obviously. For custom products, expect the delivery time to go upwards of 1 week. Pricing is kind of expensive for what it is. Great customer service and friendly staff. A must for an engineering line.

Akro-Mils storage bins have been very useful in CERs, labs, and for my desk. In the CERs, it’s been easy to color code components according to specific product lines or component types, which makes them easier to kit. In the lab, it’s been instrumental in helping to minimize the clutter, while maximizing space. It’s also nice to have some of the smaller Akro bins at my desk to store more random components that don’t really have a home in my cube. They offer custom containers, but don’t expect the 1 week delivery time that they have for their stock items.

Needs to improve: Long Lead for Custom Containers

They have provided us bins for use to organize all our tools, fixtures, parts, setting up kanban system, part segregation, anything needed to organize a manufacturing line. They have a wide selection of bins that can be used to supply any size component. We had them custom make a bin to fit an extra long component, as well as custom size shelving. They were easy to work with. The lead times for the custom components were upward of a couple weeks, and the pricing a bit expensive, but the convenience was worth it. A must-have supplier if trying to implement lean lines.

Akro bins are great, we use them all over our production floor, incoming QC and in the R&D lab. The containers are low cost constructed well. We needed some custom containers to ship components to one of our manufacturing facilities in Mexico, they took almost 2 months to receive them but they were perfectly.

Strengths: Akro-Mils makes very high quality manufacturing storage solutions. They make products for sorage and organization and product handling. They can also make custom storage containers to meet very specific needs. Their products are cost effective and constructed very well.

Needs to improve: Custom containers can have long lead times

we use akro storage bins all throughout our lab to store material that is not in use such as; screws, pins, tubing, labels, fittings, etc. they come many different colors and sizes but me personally I like to use the smaller bins because I don't like to carry a lot of material around my work around because it looks messy but with the smaller bins I can keep my work station looking nice and tidy.

Our company experience so much quality of quality and products in this vendor. We used Akro-mills to bought our bins and containers. We use these containers and bins to keep parts organized, which makes it easier to install, modify and assemble in our devices. It is so much quality and also the customer service are very knowledgeable and friendly trough entire time working with them. The products are cheap and had vast selectio. Recommended to others!

These are the kind of bins we use in our manufacturing department. Very useful for storing and organizing our company materials and small sub-assembly parts. Customer service is ok and quality is excellent. The only issues I have with these product is the weight of the material. Making it lighter would be easier for us to carry it and making it more handy to use. Other than that, good Product.

We currently use Akro's bins for all our esd sensitive electronic components. They come in various sizes and colors they are constructed very well and are designed to be used in your inventory storage cabinets or as a stand alone storage bin. They are also very durable they will last you for years.

We have contracted with Akro miss for our main source for bins and plastic cases. We have never had a problem with them at all. They do a lot of custom work when it comes to business. We have input many orders for cabin and bins for our building and they really last and very simple design that makes everything easy for us! Their customer service is excellent!

We used Akro-Mils products to organize our storage room. It is now very easy and takes less time to locate something we need which helps the flow of things in the office. We use a lot of packaging boxes from Akro-Mils for are medical equipment and dialysis machines. The boxes are very durable and it also makes are product secure. Plus it comes in many different sizes which make it easy for us to package. Always on time in delivering are orders as well. There sales staff work closely with us to develop the packaging system that suits our exact needs. Very professional vendor.
