At the beginning Ebay was a great place to go when searching for items that are no longer being produced. Yon can find just about anything here. The only thing negative I have to is ghost I hate selling anything on this sight. There is a huge waiting game in getting paid.
eBay protects the buyers by adding strict restriction on the seller.

Needs to improve: eBay protects the buyer by placing huge restrictions on the seller. If you sell on this sight you will be in a waiting game to retrieve payment

We used Ebay to find touch screen monitors that were at End of Life and the manufacturer did not tell us and they did not have any left. We were able to buy a few off ebay.

We also found items that we needed quickly, all the manufacturers and distributors did not have any in stock, but we found some on ebay.

We have had experiences where we bought something and it turned out to be a knock-off.

Ebay is quck to resolve any issues.

Strengths: You can pretty much find anything and everything you need. Great if you need items that are at End Of Life, and the supplier does not have any left in stock. Some good values. Ebay resolves issues quickly.

Needs to improve: Possible fraud and scams. Some knock-off items. Shipping sometimes is not very quick.

Ebay is an enjoyable experience. Their UI and search function is easy to use. The payment system is trusted and if there is ever an issue, they have an excellent customer service center. Since it's a marketplace, prices are always competitive. You can find anything and everything which makes it a great.

Strengths: Ebay is the biggest marketplace in the world. You can literally find anything you want here. Website is easy to use and the search function is accurate. We have purchased many hard to find power connectors, hard drives not in production, spare computer parts, etc from Ebay. Prices can be insanely cheap if you go with the right vendor.

Needs to improve: Sometimes the product isn't what you thought it was. You cannot verify the authenticity until you have it in hand.

i have purchased a number of equipment from ebay for my startup and past companies. its a excellent resource to go look for cheap second hand equipment. just recommend you to work things out in the event the equipment isn't up to par, but i have yet to run into any problems in my career. i have been able to get a keyence laser mic, various laser mic accessories, metler toledo scales, optical measurement systems, force gauges, etc all through ebay at a fraction of their retail value. performance hasn't been an issue especially once you get it properly calibrated and maintained. well worth the cost and hassle

Excellent services with Ebay for the last decade. Several forms of payment sent/received is a plus. Invoicing, shipping, fees/rates are good. Easy to communicate with Seller/Buyer with a click of a button. Shipping information, product description is great. multiple Pictures and instant relisting features are great improvements on Ebay recently.

Strengths: Strong Website. Very informative. I use Ebay for musical items, including sound tech equipment. Buyer and Seller protection is a plus. Refunds are easy.

Needs to improve: The search engine on ebay could be a little better. Key words in descriptions would be nice. Everything is tied to the title bar. Searching could take a little longer if people don't know how to use the Title Bar correctly for searches.

Great place to find unique items for cheap. Always great as every office should have it's own look and feel

Needs to improve: I don't like how the new look of ebay is similar to pinterest. It's difficult to navigate around the site.

i bought one of my laptops off ebay and it lasted me for years the only reason i stopped using it was because it got to old, ebay is awesome.

I've used eBay for years. It's a go to to hunt down the best prices on supplies. Despite many fears around scams, you can avoid issue largely by doing your homework and buying from reputable sellers.

Strengths: Serves as an international used marketplace, better than retail pricing

They have always been easy to use and have not had any major problems in years using their services

Ebay is a great place to check prices for new and used equipment. If you are cost conscious like most people are these days ebay is helpful. Used equipment poses some risk, but ebay does a pretty good job at protecting buyers.
