AMT Automation

When were looking for automation solutions when we were hoping to expand our business. We liked what AMT had to offer and were willing to work with them on the cost of their automated machines. It took a little bit of effort to get what we wanted from them. It seemed they were overwhelmed with orders or unorganized with their sales at the time. We wanted to work with them and did get a machine from them. We were happy with what we got, even if the cost was slightly above average. Once dust was settled with their sales and design team, things were easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Needs to improve: cost and communication

When we expanded out facilities we wanted to automate many of our processes. AMT was able to help out by coming in and making recommendations in their area of expertise. The process did take some time and this worried us at first, but after seeing the end result we're glad we had partnered with a company that knew what there were doing and that we had enough sense to get out of the way and let them do their job. The end result was an efficient layout with high quality equipment that fit our needs. Great job by AMT automation.

Carefully review user's requirements with AMT first before placing the order.

Strengths: AMT has the necessary caliber to make just about any kind of pouching automation. They have highly skilled and talented people who knows details of very complex equipments to easily make something custom.

Needs to improve: 1. They did not really spend time understanding customers requirements. As such, we ended up discarding the $100K equipment. It took us about 2 additional years in an effort to make it work in our processes, but all our attempts were in vain. 2. Shipment was delayed significantly.

I have used their QuickPouch systems, easy to work with the equipment. Field technicians are available to resolve any issues, but they charge for the services. Customer service has been excellent!!

Strengths: Talented team with great mechanical skills.

Needs to improve: Long lead times, unable to meet their commitments.
