We were a small business and they recommended and provided the services that fit our need. The quotes that we got were competitive and we know they are one of the larger providers so we felt like the services and products offered were best for our business.

Strengths: Blue Shield of CA was responsive in our need to get insurance coverage for our small business. They were quick and answered all of our questions. The detail they provided was great. We had various questions on our claims and we felt comfortable with their service and prices.

Needs to improve: It is a large organization so sometimes there is a lot of red tape but any large organization will have that. If things were quicker that would be great.

my company has a lot of working experience with blue shield. they are a vendor for insurance coverage for our staff and is the primary insurance company for about 5% of our patient population. our contract with blue shield as one of the vendors providing insurance coverage for our staff gave us a great deal although the premium is expensive for our staff. from working with blue shield as the insurance coverage for our pts, their representatives are knowledgeable and are usually able to fix our TPRs within minutes with us on the phone. great that they have representatives 24 hours day.

Strengths: great insurance vendor and provider for our pts and staff

I call Blus Shield almotst everyday during my work. I do undersand that since there is a hgh volum of calls now since that new care act has started but can they fix the phone. It tells me to press a certian number to get to the correct person but then when someone answers the phone it is the wrong deparment.

Strengths: Many plans for our different Clients to choice from

Needs to improve: Coustomer Serivce is very slow to answer of the phone
