our clinics experience with boehringer has been delightful. this is regarding an issue one of our patients had with their spiriva handihaler. the device can be difficult to use especially for our elderly patients and an issue with one of the devices came up with our patient not being able to push in the slide lever used to puncher the medication pouch. we evaluated the device to ensure the patient was using it correctly and the mechanic of the device was stuck. thus, we contact boehringer and they were able to give us a co-pay assistance card that allowed us to bill them as an insurance one time so that we would not only get reimbursed but the patient would get a replacement device through us saving them time.their customer relations rep was very responsive and helpful

When the new combivent respimat come out mfg by boehringer that replaced the old inhaler, there was a lot of confusion on use and correct dosage. the pharmaceutical sales rep for boehringer that takes care of our territory as come to our pharmacy to not only educate our staff but give us sample devices for us to show pts how to use the inhaler properly. even after the initial visit, their representative has stopped by multiple times to make sure we were not having issues and gave us a lot of co-pay assistance cards for our pts who cannot afford the medication.
