Essentra Components

I used Essentra because the prices they gave me were better then McMaster. Unfortunately by the time you include shipping McMaster comes out better. Plus McMaster has stock, while Essentra usually has a wait time of 6 weeks.
Customer service isn't good to begin with when you're trying to buy something. But when you have a problem it is downright terrible.
Billing, they overcharged me and it is impossible to get the money back. They want to give me a credit for the next purchase but I don't want to do business with them. They somehow manage to make the cost of shipping more then the cost of the components that you buy, watch out for the pumped up shipping cost.

Strengths: Price is less expensive then McMaster until they ship. Then the price is worse then McMaster

Needs to improve: Shipping, Instead of putting 1000 washers into one box, they put 100 washers each into 10 boxes, then charged me shipping on the entire thing. The shipping ended up being more then the washers themselves. Having Stock, they never seem to have even small quantities of parts in stock, they always do partial orders and then charge a lot for shipping Customer Service, I can't get them to fix multiple mistakes that they have made. Sending the right parts, they have been known to send me the wrong parts.

I have ordered products for R&D testing and lab supplies from Essentra since they were originally known as Alliance Express. Essentra bought out Alliance Express, but they continue to sell the same trusted lab supplies. During the take-over transition product orders were bumpy, but things are now back on course and I am happy with the consumable lab supplies and rounded cable ties. I am able to order without problems because I've always used the same part numbers, however the website makes it difficult to navigate other parts that may be needed in the future.

Needs to improve: Website product catalog is in excel format (not user friendly)

Our company has been ordering different adhesives, sealants, and tapes from Essentra Components over the past year. We have never been disappointed by the quality of products that we have received from them. There staff seems very knowledgeable anytime that we have ever had a question about ordering from them. We have found that they offer very competitive pricing.

Strengths: Great adhesives! Clean and easy to use website! Great customer care.

Needs to improve: We have found none so far.

In our facility we use a lot of adhesives sealants and tape for various reasons,we find very easy that we can purchase these items from the same place we can purchase raw materials also ,our order comes prompt and on time we don't ever have to wait long and that's a plus.we are very happy with their service, thanks Essentra.

An excellent provider of lab equipment and general industrial facility equipment needs. We have purchased primarily adhesives and sealants from Essentra Components. The items they carry are standard quality and are very flexible in terms of integrating into our systems and products. We like how they are easy to order with allowing some of my back office folks to help out. Highly recommended.

Essential is currently one if the many vendors we sometimes do business with when we are in need of hardware for our builds. We are a medical device manufacturer so we go through hundreds of fasteners and spacers in a daily. They offer a straight forward product that performs as it should. No complaints.
