Used Kalman Machining Inc. to create several fixtures for cutting rubber features on a foot assembly for manufacturing, by using their experience for creating fixtures we were able to keep our production line going without any downtime. At times their lead-times can slip due to our internal engineers - always changing and adjusting/tweaking the design. kalman does take it all in stride and the internal operations, machinists and salesman's try to make all our updates run smoothly through there shop while keeping our the documents in orders. A great life saver as we need all the correct certs and documents in order to meet our quality requirements. We will continue to use as they go the extra distance to make sure our fixtures are made correctly.

Needs to improve: Sometimes the lead time slip as a result of second operations - hardware, finishes, welding, etc... Our company always try's to squeeze the schedules on deliveries and sometimes the vendor over commits...

My start up uses Kalman for custom machine jobs on our medical device prototypes. They have a knowledgeable team that is able to tailor solutions to our exact specifications. Their work product has a high degree of attention to detail and our of a high standard of quality. Our only major issue has been that at times orders get backlogged and can lag in delivery time. Also, pricing is a bit high, but that is to be expected with the level of customization. Overall we were decently satisfied.

We have turned to them in the past for custom machining. We were in need of a specialty tool to properly align our optical sensors on our stepper motors and Kalman was able to make it for us. They were a little pricy in my opinion considering the tool we needed was only 3 inches long but then again it was custom built for our needs. All around they do an excellent job.

At my shop we have been going through Kalman for a while now and they have always made great custom products! They have never let us down on deadlines. They have always had a great turnaround time and the staff has always gotten back to us. We highly recommend them.
