Teflon coated leadscrews with anti-backlash compression nuts were specified on a DNA scanning sequencer. They were not anit-backlash really, but semi-consistent backlash. I do not believe these really have a place in reciprocating, medium to high speed applications. Replaced with a Ball Screws & Actuators leadscrew with an anti-backlash, compression nut - and that worked much better and more consistently.
