Strengths: I used to work for a contract manufacturer (EMS) that uses their mil-spec self-locking fasteners build their products. They were high precision made parts. The self-locking worked well from preventing the assembly coming apart during manufacturing and operation of their system. It's a cost sourcing for these parts but they work great. Their engineering staff was very helpful explaining all the different self-locking types of design and material. I would recommend them to others looking for help finding a source for fasteners.

We have ordered fasteners from Long-Lok Fasteners Corp, screws, inserts and nuts. Their self-locking fasteners resist rotation on the first installation and on subsequent installations and removals - makes taking apart assemblies a few times without worrying about loosing any holding force on the fasteners. This feature along with the self-sealing fasteners has made Long-Lok a great fastener that serves two requirements - vibration & sealing.

They currently are one of our vendors that supplies us with our fasteners that are used during our manufacturing of our dialysis machines. We go through hundreds of these fasteners a day. Pricing is good mainly because we order in bulk. But all around they are your typical fastener and spacers nothing to special.
