Milestone Technology

we have used Milestone for a FTIR failure analysis last year and while we are satisfied with our relationship with Milestone, we have still chosen to look elsewhere for other failure analysis companies that can provide more detailed, comprehensive data for our needs. We used their FTIR failure analysis to identify some solvent and particle contamination. Their data and analysis is very data driven which is a positive from our perspective. but anything further than providing you with a high data driven analysis, their services stops there. We were looking for a vendor that can not only provide us with rich data but also help us to analyze the data, correlate it back to our product and and give us feedback on further methods for prevention. If you are looking for a vendor that provides very data rich analysis, Milestone may be the right vendor for you. however we were just looking for something beyond the analysis.

Needs to improve: testing is limited, primary testing.

We used millstone technology to analyze our products that were not performing up to par in lab testing. In particular we were curious as to why our products were fatiguing, plastic deforming, and breaking in certain sections after being deployed from an introducer catheter. Was it the material choice or design? Thats what we were using Milestone Technology to figure out. They are experts in failure analysis and collaborating with them, we were able to figure out why our products were failing and to implement the correct changes in order to get the performance and reliability that we were seeking. They are busy people and hard to get an appointment so make sure to plan ahead of time. Good group of individuals and very hard working. Pleasure to work with and will continue to use.

Milestone has often comes through when we're in a scheduling bind. With just a few members on their staff, they operate lean and efficient, which is ideal since we only care about are the results. They have a tremendous amount of industry expertise and always take time to explain their findings and address our issues. Top notch analysis from a reliable and effective operation.

They have a tremendous amount of industry knowledge and always take time to explain their findings and answer any of our questions. Quality analysis from a reliable and lean operation.

Great for SEM failure analysis. We use them when we are in a crunch and looking to get an appointment with someone quickly. Their staff is friendly and knowledgable. They are a smaller operation and thus more willing to work with you around your schedule so thats nice when you are in a rush. Overall good experience and would definitely recommend if just looking to get something in for a quick look.

Milestone technology was a great find! They operate very lean there--only 1 or 2 employees, but that doesn't mean they don't have the expertise that larger more well-known labs do. I only needed sem images, not a full failure analysis report, so I'm not sure of their quality on the documentation side. They are my goto for a quick sem needs.

This is a great place to go to get a no-frills SEM work done. It's a small lab with a great support staff. The pricing for use of the equipment/analytical work is significantly cheaper than some of your more renown labs in the area.

Strengths: Good pricing when compared to the larger well known labs ie. EAG. Good support staff to assist.

Needs to improve: Small lab, so the more sophisticated machines may not be available

We researched an alternative company to perform SEM services. They have competitive prices abut in the end we had to go with another company that could analyze our parts more thoroughly. I would imagine that this company would be good working with startups

Usually not that busy, so it's possible to fit in last minute appointments.

Strengths: A small local Bay Area lab with the basics for SEM and other microscopic imaging technologies that is less busy than the larger companies, such as BAE systems. Great for a quick look.

Needs to improve: Only basic equipment available

It's a small lab with a great support staff. The pricing for use of the equipment/analytical work is significantly cheaper than some of the labs in the area.

Milestone is a very small company but a lot of knowledge and experience than most large companies. They do images and failure analysis report. The staff is great and very helpful. Milestone Tech is my goto place.
